ye, some parts are custommade - thats for sure. but the whole car is based on a audi s2. its a normal s2 quattro. the gearbox is from a audi 90 IMSA. brakes are from porsche (as i know). the whole engine is a original r5 turbo with IMSA turbo´s. dahlbbäck used a few original audi racing parts from the quattro gmbh.

So, this car is a audi covered as golf :). surely really much parts are custommade, but what this car makes to that powerful beast is from audi.

Hi i built the 5 cylinder engines for Audi Sport UK, the 10V gave a reliable 400BHP at 7500rpm (max) and in its final incarnation in 20V form it produced 600BHP at 7800rpm with a limit of 8000rpm this engine ran in the 1986 WRC, at its most powerful the 20V turbo reliably gave 720BHP in the 90 IMSA car and did produce a peak of 960BHP for 1 lap qualifying

its a 2.1 quattro engine, they tested it on a dyno, and it broke at 850bhp at 8000rpm, and it can safely rev to over 11,000.. meaning theres at least 200bhp more there, so its at least 1050bhp...

yeahhh it can Rev as high as a super bike, its just a really strong block, older engines tend to be more tunable, like the Nissan Skyline RB26 is the most tunable engine out there, and that was first released in 1992, so its pretty old, but the 2.1 quatrro engine was built to be strong and easily tuned, so i guess it was the perfect choice, big power, bit reliability
