  • @0XSupernatural The 2nd Pocahontas movie is based on the actual accounts of Pocahontas and John Rolfe. She really did end up with him, Disney just trying to stay historically accurate. I agree with you though, when I first watched it, I was like, WHY?! ugh.

  • Most of our generation have forgotten that loving Disney is cool.

  • Awesome, and nice song!

  • Love Vanessa Williams, So beautiful and precise wording, She should of won an award.

  • I still love and are watching all my VHS Disney movies from the early 90's ...and im...well im not young anymore ;P

I Think It's sad that they can't make movies like the old ones anymore...the movies today is pure crap!

  • She should have won a Grammy but they don't like her.

  • @Flowertower877 smh u havent lived until youve seen all those disney movies

  • @040181991 Lmao I've seen so little of them that it's ridiculous. The only one I watched as a kid was the Little Mermaid. I watched Mulan when I was like 12. I watched Beauty in the Beast when I was like 8 maybe.

    I think that's all...

  • i wish i was still a child.

  • 31 people dont have respect this is great

  • my favorite disney song ever

  • I love this version, I was listening with my headphones and discovered the voice and music are both on the right channel, but the instrumental alone is on the left channel. The video was also very interesting.

  • great tony from Dau Mabalacat Pampanga

  • It turns into a red corn at sunset.

  • I love this song. When i was 5 years old, my mom bought this movie for me. When i was 16, she died of cancer and this song reminds me of her! RIP!

  • I remember cheering on simba when he fought scar.

I remember booing at Ursela when she took Arieal's voice.

I remember fighting the Huns with Mulan.

I remember the wind through my hair, running by Pocahontas.

I remember being locked in the Beast's castle.

I remember laughing and having fun with Mickey and his friends.

I don't remember watching teen drama on stupid disney channel

Copy and paste this to all your favorite Disney Videos and let's start a revolution.

    W. Disney forever.

  • A sycamore can grow to massive proportions, typically reaching up to 30 to 40 meters (98 to 130 ft) high and 1.5 to 2 meters (4.9 to 6.6 ft) in diameter when grown in deep soils. The largest of the species have been measured to 51 meters (167 ft), and nearly 4 meters (13 ft) in diameter.

  • ten kto tego nie czuje.. jest biedny :):)

  • Love the song & it's lyrics!!!

  • i hate the 2nd Pocahontas cuz she doesn't pick Jon smith she picks a girly prince. thx disney for makeing me cry well saying bye to jon smith as he sails away to the new world almost dieing!!, and then makeing a 2nd one and not even makeing her fall for him again, im 15 and i watched it once and was piss and now its in my basement with other movies i dont watch any more.

  • @0XSupernatural

it base on a true story, and she really didn't pick him

  • @ficca1 Well, she really didn't have a choice; meaning he wasn't in the running. John Smith was no where around when Pocahonta married. He didn't see her again until long after she married.

  • @Duchesscarml True! and above all, it wasn't Walt Disneys idea to make her marry the other guy. maybe people don't realise it, but Pocahontas is a story based on truth! read the real story and you'll understand the second movie ;)

  • @1994Marjoleintje I think everyone's problem with Disney is (and mine, too) that they began by telling their own story and it the second movie would have been much better if they had it end the way the first movie hinted it would... With her and John Smith together.

  • @0XSupernatural There is no 2nd one in m mind lol.

  • @SuperiorSwagon1

Colors of the Wind and Reflection

  • @0XSupernatural

You know in real life, she did go with him and they got married and lived happily in England until she caught a cold and died.

  • @beautybabebuzz That's not exactly true. In real life, Pocahontas was only a child when she first met John Smith. They were never lovers and they never married. She later marries John Rolfe, whom she does live in England with for about a year then dies when they are on their way back to Virginia. She was married to him for nearly 3 years and they had a son about 2 years before she died.

  • @0XSupernatural Well, it's based on history and that's what happened years ago.

  • @0XSupernatural Some of you may not know this... but disney didnt write this story. Pocahontas was a real person, and this is the way her life went... Its based on a true story, and wouldnt be if disney re-wrote it to suite themselves or anyone else.

  • @Maverick7382 Disney have talking crabs, lions, tigers, hippos, etc etc.

A WARTHOG AND A MEERKAT ARE BEST FRIENDS!

Disney change many things to suit themselves. And it works!!

  • @Maverick7382 Yes, but they started out wrong - She was like 12 when she met John Smith, so in the true story it's okay that they didn't stay together and didn' marry later because she grew up and her heart moved on pass hero worship, but that's not the story Disney started out telling... They made up their own and it would have been better if she ended up with John Smith for the story they told.

  • @0XSupernatural Same here. I pretend the second movie doesn't exist... And I don't think we're the only ones. I noticed that it's one of the few disney movies you don't find on the shelves in the stores too often.... They made a bad mistake in making that one the way they did. I understand that they were trying to get more of the truth of their story in the movie the second time around, but they started out telling their own story so they should have kept going that way.

  • @0XSupernatural sadly it was the real story but i hate it too.

  • @0XSupernatural Hey, at least it was historically accurate.

  • @0XSupernatural yap. i agree with u. i only watch it once, and never touch it again. i was hoping i could see pocahontas and john smith would reunited...but worse, the ending made me disappointed. -.-

  • @0XSupernatural

But that's the way it happens historically. She never ends up with John Smith. I'm actually pretty glad they stuck to the real history and not made up whatever they wanted.

  • @0XSupernatural The 2nd Pocahontas is more historical than the first. Pocahontas never loved John Smith. So she fell in love with the "girly prince", by the way why, when John Smith and the other British settlers came to her village, she was only ten.

  • @0XSupernatural ...Are you serious? They made the second movie so that they could lead people in a more historical direction. Jon Smith and Pohcahontas were just friends, she married Jon R... Disney got so many outraged letters from parents and teachers about how it wasn't realistic and so they had to make a new one... They taught me that in 4th grade, I don't know where you were...

  • @0XSupernatural its a true story though

  • <3 she'z still so gawjus

  • Beautiful!!! Thank you!

  • Är det bara jag som får Titanic-feeling i början av låten?

  • das hat eine freundin von mir beim schulschlusfest gesungen

und erst jetzt weiß ich welches lied das ist

  • Beautiful song...too bad people dont truly listen to a meaning of the songs. They listen,

  • this is where England and America reconcile in Hetalia

  • @inuyakino

Ah, I'm not the only Hetalian on here XD

Hidekaz Himaruya actually does make a reference and a sketch of Pocahontas (the real one)!

  • I remember singing this version with my 3rd Grade Class 8 years ago. It was fun, lol, but I always tried being a scene stealer with this, lol. Oh and I like both versions btw.

  • this is shit. JUDY KUHN <3333

  • ITs really good I Like that song xo xo much****

  • Haha, I just watched an Ugly Betty marathon... to think it's the same woman is so awesome :D

  • @Poppenhuis me too :)

  • We tired of the color and hypocrisy Familiar with the pain of each hot The sky filled surge Lying on the ground without Hates to be emptied Nick and wanted a new Beautiful wish Thus when we wish Once the heart of this world With love and liberty undermines The people of the world does smile of joy A lovers Remember we forget We will learn to get the Remember we forget (remember we did get the Remember we forget) Cheer up with Oneness Stand for release of sorrow Height to draw aliens

  • awesome

  • I love this song but I don't know what it really mean is! :(

  • @mahnem It talks about how people come to someone elses land. Assumeing the people are savages and want a better way of life.( which some do and some dont.) So they kill animals and cut down their trees and rape the land to "help" civilazation. So when pocohantas sings this John Smith in the movie she is explaining that instead of killing the animals and cutting trees stop and enjoy the nature and see the true beauty of what god has given us.

  • @siereader

Actually, Jamestown, Virginia, is something of an embarrassment in American history. All the other colonies were founded on the principles of religious liberty (even Pennsylvania was basically bought by William Penn because King Charles II owed his dad a ton of money) by people fleeing religious persecution in England in search of a New Jerusalem to call their own. But the Jamestown colony WAS indeed a commercial venture seeking gold. A crew of horny bachelors, if you will...

  • @pinz2022 I'm pretty aware of the history of Jamestown. We were talking about a Disney song dude. Chill

  • @siereader

Oh, I love the song as much as the next guy, but you can't separate the song from that stooopid, politically-correct Disney movie...

I really, really hate it when native americans are reduced to sanitized cartoon caricatures.

  • @pinz2022 I understand.. I more than half native American myself.. But when you put Native Americans and people who have had a impact on history in cartoons little kids see this and know they could achieve the same. Even if the story is a little diluted for the sake of younger viewers.. I understand:)

  • omg. beautiful

  • Myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy eeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaars :\

  • I have never seen the movie "Pocahontas" but this song just makes me cry.

  • Dear Vanessa Williams - you are so talented. oh, and I love the song, too :)

  • I still dont get how there can be dislikes on a disney video -.- Thats like blasphemy.

  • i have been enlightened. -__-

  • I listen to this song when i go for a shit :)

  • Meh. This is okay I guess. I just don't hear the power in her voice like the original!

  • OMG! iiii lOved tiS sonG sOooo mUchie♥ it reminds me lOts of thinGy...iN the paSt

  • metallicas better

  • @littlemissowl ditto....sniff she did a wonderful job...such a beautiful song holds so much meaning :')

  • 20 people can't paint with all the colors of the wind...

  • We are all just humans on this beautiful, blue and brown ball, floating around the sun...a beautiful planet, with limited resources..respect the earth....she is more powerful than you think! And respect and protect each other, we are all we have!

  • we realize the beauty of songs like this but why doesn't it change our condition?

  • I love she didn't change it unlike all these Disney teenie-boppers. This was good!

  • this used to be(still is!) my favorite when i was in grade school, i knew every word!

  • Perfect song T-T

  • this song reflects how there were and are beautiful people and dangerous predatory animals amongst human beings.. unfortunate...human civilisations...

  • 20 people are color blind.

  • @TheHoeBurger And tone deaf

  • This is awesome, but i still love the original more...

  • wunderschön (:

  • this made me get goose bumps O_O the vanessa hudgens version gave me nausea xD

  • @lifevidazoi I agree, I still get goose bumps when I hear this song. Vanessa Williams did such a beautiful job. She made this song -- a true talent that is under rated. As for Ms. Hudgins, I am with you -- she mutilated the song.

  • @lifevidazoi =.= I agree

  • a meaningful song in our time and today

  • you can tell the digitally animated Disney Movies from the original Hand drawn ones

  • 0:53 That is a HELL of a lot of hair! Gurrl!

  • I know every rock and tree and creature has a life has a SPIRIT has a name :o)

that covers the people who you think should look like you.............whats next cover the people who you think should think like you!!! Faith Faith Faith

  • I know every rock and tree and creature has a life has a SPIRIT has a name :o)

with this you will learn things you never knew

  • Such a beautifull song (a)

    x

  • "u can own the earth and still all you´ll own is earth" ...how profound...

  • she's alright, no where near as good as judy kuhn.

  • Williams signs it preety well and I enjoy it much, yet I think that Edyta Gorniak sings it much better (in Polish version) :)

I think that everybody should compare these versions :P

  • @bukimiak I checked out Edyta Gorniak because of your recommendation. Edyta is truly a remarkable talent and I can understand that for someone born in Poland Edyta's singing with Polish lyrics is very powerful. Because you caused me to go see who Edyta is I will keep following her career. Since I live in Viena I hope to hear her live some day. Thank you.

  • @ViennaForever I am glad that you liked it. She has a collection of songs in English. I recommend you start with these. The most known is One&One, but there are some even better than that. All of them should be available on YouTube.

  • Who had the stupid idea to move the voice to the right sound channel only?

  • @CharizardFireGod dumbass! the right sound is with the singer and the left is like a karaoke version!!! pffft...

  • love it

  • omg!! love the music at 1:42 :)

  • wow i just played an instrumental on this song.. last week and didnt know its from pocahontas... which i watched long long ago...

  • Gracias!

  • Wait is this pocahontas 2 or something?

  • The orginal version is wonderful :) this is pretty, but not nearly as good.

  • yeah! pocahontas man

  • This song is so true and meaningful it's beautiful too

  • i just liked how pocahontas looked but i never actually like the story it was just too sad

  • Pocahontas is bear foot in the winter???

How do her feet stand that icy coldness???

  • Vanessa Williams is so talented - great singer, amazing actress! She takes the role of Wilhelmina on UGLY BETTY to new heights of excellence!

  • Wow, this such a great song! It brings a message and reminder that every person needs to think of. It's hidden in the back of our minds, this song simply brings it out from hiding.

  • vaffö e klippen från pocahontas 2?!

  • thats the difference with vanessa williams and those disney stars(vanessa hudgens, miley cyrus) she doesnt change it into a butchery version and shows the true meaning that the song is trying to explain.

  • @555vipgirl You heard Miley's Part of your world remake to me it was like a spoiled brat version of the song like and it sucks.

  • where's the emotion?

  • beautiful but i hate the sequel of pocahontas

  • love this song.its so beautiful!! touches the heart!! unlike others who ruin it!!!

  • Favvv songgg!
