The co2 is created by tiny alien microorganisms inside the mentos. The cola gets angry at all the co2 for taking up so much space and has a hissy fit and explodes all over the place. This video is actually proof that Michael Jackson is not really dead!

The level decreases because of a chemical reaction. The coca cola with the substance inside of the Mentos mix together and form Co2 instantaneously. The level lowers as the Co2 is created as the Co2 is compressed because there is so much being created at one time and then rises because their is now a lot more Co2 coming out of the glass. Come on guys, I'm 14 and I know that. Although I am not certain if it is Co2 being created.

For the ones that doesn't know. The ingredient that makes the "diet" coke sweet is very unstable and it wants to make bubbles all the time but it have no place to do it but the mentos has very small holes in it and then small bubbles are coming from the holes and it continues until the holes is gone and the re is no place for the bubbles to start.
