I thought Banderas was the only actor who actually captured the elegant essence of a vampire; his persona, his bearing, his appearance all belies the other actors in this film. He gave off a real presence of dark malevolence without being cheesy. LOVE THIS VIDEO.

The Armand of Neil Jordan is Different from the Armand of Anne Rice and I Like much more the Spanish Armand from Neil Jordan. its like experiencing the last living Dragon, filled with real mystery its a really scary fascinating creature,none human at all.

I love Armand but in the movie Antonio Banderas was a really bad pick, because after all Armand's body is of a 17 year old boy...so... thats the only downfall

Yeah I heard the age difference was on purpose, because there were already allusions in the film to suggest Louis and Claudia as a more romantic couple so the director figured that an older Armand would be more appropriate.

But I have to agree with you that it's still annoying.
