  • the one at :38- :39 is an agate.. the one right after it was obsiden, alot of it is sand thats turned into rock, (the grey stuff and/or white ones) and mudstone (the browns and red- it was clay at sometime a long long time ago..)

  • @lexusowner yup the translucent one is an agate. the one right after it is actually a type of native chert. i wish i could find obsidian in princeton.. but the closest we get here is smooth basalt

    thanks for the info about the white stone. i found a source for it. it's a big white cliff.the stone breaks off in wide sheets but if you can get a solid enough piece it knapps fine.

    mm i was thinking the bright red ones might have iron in em making the red color

    im assuming you meant "are those rocks flint or something?"

    if so.. nope they aren't flint. i do use them for flintknapping,

    the stone is chert jasper and.. some other grainy stone. thanks for the comment? and if it was a question i hope this answered it..
