that portal is actually to "The Ender" or "The End" where the Enderdragon lives. you just put an Eye of Ender on every block and it should make a portal to The End, where you will have to fight the Enderdragon. You can only leave in creative mode if you beat him. Be aware- the Enderdragon can break ANY block, even bedrock, except for End Stone.

@shuttervj97 you dont need a seed just go in Custom mode and get and ender pearl. It will point you in the right direction :)

In 1.9 pre release 3 go to the x=0 z=0 coördinates to find the glass towers. unbder it is a stronghold
