And what about WTC 5? A smaller building much closer to WTC 1 & 2 that was severely damaged during the collapses (like half the building was destroyed). The part of the building that still stood was engulfed in flames, not smoke, and didn't collapse.

You've proved my point though, those that are die hard truthers would not be satisfied by just about any explanation or proof laid in front of them. I am not beholden to you to answer every one of your questions and although I am not willing to research for you the answers are out there. The NIST and FEMA reports do not exclusively deal with the science of what occurred, so it's not the jurisdiction of peer review. Perhaps you should google the mechanism of PR so you can acquaint yourself better with what it is and why it is the most reliable standard of truth in the sci community :)
@kihhn Well the thing is the towers didn't fall because of melted steel, which the truther movement constantly asserts is the case being reported. The temperatures were NOT hot enough to melt steel, that's correct but THEY WERE more than hot enough for the steel to lose it's STRUCTURAL STRENGTH, which is actually the reason why they fell.

@ComplainBear 1. it was a 757. 2. it didn't vaporize, it exploded into bits spread over an area of about 4 miles. It took while but eventually about 95% of the aircraft was recovered, including both blackboxes. Also large peices of aircraft were found with that wreckage.
Building 7 is the only thing that is a legitament argument by 9/11 conspiracy theorists. Otherwise ... steel weakens, not melts at those temperatures, and the dust falling down obscures the falling building.

Collapse: Steel (I think the beams were made of steel) is weakened to 10% of its strength at that temp. All of the weight of the building can't be supported and it collapses. You don't think that makes sense?

The NIST and FEMA reports do not exclusively deal with the science of what occurred, so it's not the jurisdiction of peer review. Perhaps you should google the mechanism of PR so you can acquaint yourself better with what it is and why it is the most reliable standard of truth in the sci community :)

@kihhn Well the thing is the towers didn't fall because of melted steel, which the truther movement constantly asserts is the case being reported. The temperatures were NOT hot enough to melt steel, that's correct but THEY WERE more than hot enough for the steel to lose it's STRUCTURAL STRENGTH, which is actually the reason why they fell.

@ComplainBear 1. it was a 757. 2. it didn't vaporize, it exploded into bits spread over an area of about 4 miles. It took while but eventually about 95% of the aircraft was recovered, including both blackboxes. Also large peices of aircraft were found with that wreckage.

Freefall, however, has nothing to do with calculating the stresses of various members in a complex structure. Fire causes buildings to collapse all the time. I have no idea why they using the "full scale" excuse for 911 as a defense when "strength of red hot UL certified steel " could be tested or even "heating UL certified steel using normal fire" or test "Nano-thermite" effects on UL certified steel could be tested on a small cheap scale. Thermite: Aluminum can melt at about 900 - 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. Glows bright orange at 1800. Fire temp.: Around 1830. Color of molten thermite. Debunked maybe?
Collapse: Steel (I think the beams were made of steel) is weakened to 10% of its strength at that temp. All of the weight of the building can't be supported and it collapses. You don't think that makes sense?

We are looking at something that destroys matter which borders on matter destabilization using neutrons and fusion technologies (no allusion to anti-matter discovery in movie Angles and Demons).
The destructive power could possibly be using laser and neutron plasma.
This destructive power can be carried on microwaves and trained on something airborne, say a nuclear missile.
This destructive technology can knock off a flying missile from the sky BEFORE IT CAN EVEN DETONATE.

We should be talking about WHAT THE DEVIL of a destructive weapon is in the hands of the US Military Aerospace.
The way the US is muscling with Iran and NKorea to prevent these countries from building nuclear arms IS EXACTLY what US is expecting in the skies one day. This is reverse psychology.

Sorry but that reasoning is fucking retarded. I'm not going to argue if they are intentionally agitating Iran and North Korea for some reason, that could very well be the truth(unlikely, but still a possibility). HOWEVER, the idea that they would do this just so they could TEST their nuke-killer-laser is just stupid. They have a huge number of ways of testing the accuracy of these things on home soil. There is no way they risk a city being nuked just so they could test their laser.

I used to beleive the offical 11 story n called 911truthers nuts but not anymore. So i say NO u cld just build MINIATURE, but material wise similar, replicas of the wtcs and ram a miniature kerosene RC jet into them at the same speed the plane supposedly hit the towers.
