Just bought a 800 series dishwasher. It looks great and very quiet My only complaint is that the dishes still come out wet. I read my manual and said fill rinse aid. I did this and still dishes come out wet. Is this normal or did i get "a lemon"

@powerboatnut Bosch dishwashers use a Condensation Drying System to get the dishes dry (instead of a heating element); there are a few tips to make sure your dishes are getting dry:

- Increase the amount of rinse agent (Jet Dry) being dispensed - refer to your Use/Care Manual for instructions

- Large objects are blocking the condensation vent located on the inside wall (just below the upper rack)

- Dishes are left in dishwasher for long periods of time after cycle is complete

I have to question the logic at 0:14

She says if there is no food particles to go after then the detergent will attack glass. It's not like the detergent is hungry and has to eat; if there is no food, it will eat the glass instead... The detergent would either eat the glass, or not eat the glass. regardless of how much food soil there is, the detergent will always come in contact with any glass that's in the dishwasher.

@aylera A legit question. Bosch senior design engineer Mike sheds a bit of lit onthis in a Yahoo article (unfort YouTube doesn't allow me to link):

"The detergent etches small pits in glasses that you can't see with the naked eye, but the glass appears cloudy. The process is called "etching" and causes permanent damage. Your detergent amount needs to be based on the amount of food soil in the dishwasher."

@BoschHome Yea you already said that in the video. My point is, that you cannot say that it will never etch, even if you have the proper amount. It obviously just wont etch as much.

But anyways, thanks for the dish washing tips. I don't clean my dishes before i load them now.
