Nintendo was probably only too lazy to fix it and found it easier to mess with the dialogue. Takes less programming to change a few phrases than to make a new model with animations and stuff. That's my 2 pec.

remember, playing as luigi is pretty much a big what if storyline, it doesn't actually take place. don't assume that this actually takes place because the existance of two luigis is incredibly absurd. It would greatly effect any possible storyline in the mario universe...

The Luigi you play as is the same size as Mario. Plus it cant be Mario to rescue because he cant talk...well he doesn't talk. And Nintendo must have been lazy at the time.

It wasn't lazy, they changed Rosalina's and Luigi's (twin) lines. Mario doesn't talk so it can't be him. Also, he's supposed to be the hero! Also, YOU START OUT on a toads spaceship, so they're fine.

that really dissapoined me when i saw it on my game, who knew luigi had a twin, and mario has a extra brother. i believe it wasn't a mistake cause of the text though. guess mario's got even more competition to be the main character lol
