@ all. I take full credit for this song. Without the fans this album would've never come out. Secondly Joey Jordison is played live with Rob. The album was recorded with Tommy Clufetos before he went on to record with ozzy. Joey played drums on a couple of tracks though for the reissue

Whether or not focusing on instrumentals is common in Rob Zombie's sound, I still think it's beastly as it works with his style- especially with this new, and I'm quoting itunes- cinematic approach to the music. It was always weird and with unexpected moments that build tension so I just see it as that.

@insomniac011101 Yes, everybody go check out the silent film--"The Man Who Laughs", made in 1928, starring Conrad Veidt (whose appearance as Gwynplaine, as I'm sure many of you know, inspired the look of the Joker). It's a wonderful film. I'd also recommend the original novel by Victor Hugo.

It's great to see artists referencing things like this in their music, and this song is great. :) Anyone know if Zombie himself has seen the movie/read the book? How'd HE hear about it, I wonder.

@TheaterRaven Yeah I know! How can you not love a film about a man who has a permanent smile on his face, a blind girlfriend, a pet-wolf named Homo (yes, Homo!) and inspired the greatest villain ever, The Joker? Its great! If a bit depressing...

Rob Zombie is a big moviebuff (especially horror!) so yes i think he did see the movie! He also did a music video for the song "Living Dead Girl" inspired by another German Expressionist classic; "The Cabinet of Dr Caligari" from 1920. Check em out :)
