well i was a kid...had one cornered...went to squish him with my finger...moved it in real slow, he tried to run L id block L, hed try to run R id block R....then he leaped 1.5 inches, bit my finger, and leaped back...in about .01 seconds. It was one of those spiders that dont make webs..."wolf spiders".... wasnt very big.

Finger didnt feel or look too pretty for a day. I was young though.....single digits. Hurt enough to remember 30 years later.
