Those game controller USB converters be really useful. I'm glad to bought one. Playing Super Metroid on Zsnes using a keyboard isn't that fun.

A PlayStation controller is a good substitute for a Super Nintendo controller and almost any other type of controller because of it's simple design.

Well it'll be a nostalgic experience for the both of us as I too was only able to finish the game once as i used to get stuck when i was younger so took til i was older to beat it.

Don't bother de-poisoning people before you actually bother to kill the things that can poison you. You'll just waste items.

Also, you should generally target the status affecting monsters first.

Afraid not. You can jump over the boxes containing items. Also you can jump over townspeople.

No. You can use your weapons to get you through certain obstacles though.
