Some of you people have some funny ideas about fighters! The Eurofighter doesn't have thrust vectoring or stealth! And saying that any 4th gen fighter has a chance in hell agianst a 5th gen fighter is just silly! To much "pro China", talk and no "reality talk"! The Chinese military isn't that dumb. That's why they're working on their own 5th gen fighter. They want to compete. Can't do that with this plane. Flying coffins anyone!...

The reason china is working hard on the 5th generation fighter is simplely because that is the future generation of fighter, and China has the ability to develop it. The 5th gen fighter as the USAF says " are much harder to be detected" which means it can be detected and it is becoming easier and easier since the new solution China has found. We agree the 5th has an advantage over the 4th but not as much as you dream.

Your story was an old stroy. All your assumption was basied on 5th gen vs traditional 4th gen, China found the solution and US navy proved it. I am not going to waste too much time here. Go check how did f22 get killded in the exercise, the military doesnt want to talk too much, but as you think you knows a lot, it should be very obvious. Go get some update.

I see. You're talking about the EA-18G incident! We dont know all the facts about that scenario because they are secret. The Airforce may have been doing its own test against the Navy's dedicated jammer the EA-18G without telling them. We really dont know but I dought China has jamming technology, on its fighters, that can match the EA-18G Growler! We just dont know what went down and it is to soon to claim an anti-stealth "solution" as of yet Padawan!

You seems know something about Amercian but have no idea about what its opponent are doing.Two faces, First, Lockheed doubled the mount of RAM on F22 during the stealth test and RAM has dropped off several times during f22's oversea deployment. Second, F22 production has been cut short in order to build more EA-18G. I very much doupt your braveness to work out the relationship in these facts, and don't live in your star war movie.

Production of the F-22 was halted in order to buy more drones, littoral combat ships and other equipment that would be better suited to fighting the current set of bad guys! (See Robert Gates) As for the RAM issue! Rain has always been a problem. That doesn't mean they should just give-up on it! RAM is far to valueable to wait for it to be perfected! You're doing better but your facts are a bit off Anakin.

It's more like an F-16E/F, or a Eurofighter with AESA... not the F-35... It's stealth shaping compared to the F-35, using your eyes is easily far far less..

And the J-10A at the moment still uses the Al-31 engine... Dude don't make overly ambitious claims, it reduces your credibility... -_-

I don't know how the F-22 came into the equation, but there seems to be discussion about the J-10B and its striking similarity to the F-35.

The Eurofighter, if equipped with TVC and AESA and stealthy modifications, has a chance of defeating the J-10B in a dogfight.

And who told you about the F-16E? The JF-17 is the one that's been compared to the F-16E, not the J-10B. I advise you to check again.

the f-35 is 5th gen bro, it has stealth and an amazing radar from the raptor it will detect and kill any J-10 before the J-10 even has a clue about what's going on and in a dogfight the F-35 will use its maneuverability and Helmet Mounted Display to destroy any target...

Not exactly 5th-gen. It is partially-stealth. The J-10B has RCS of 0.3 m, which is almost stealthier than the F-35. The J-10B also has greater speed, range, manueverability and probably in avionics as well. J-10B will be fitted with anti-stealth radar.

actually the f-35 can climb especially with that big ass F135 engine in the back and trust me it can turn too maybe not like the raptor but the enough to keep up with your ass and it will shoot you down with the HELMET DISPLAY SO IT WON'T HAVE TO GET BEHIND YOU ANYWAY...also fighters rarely achieve speeds over mach 1.5 its simply too expensive with the gas guzzling afterburner and when they do go very fast or at max speed they can only do that for about 5 min, 10 tops!

The way you talk about HMD is the same way BMW talk about their iDrive system, But after a year of its introduction, all their competitors bring up their own improved ones, go and check how does the Beemer owner feel about their idrive, all you can ask an F35 pilot about their HMD, if they want to talk to you.

Sure you can think whatever, but the USAF said the f-35 was not designed for a dogfight -- it has no advantage in a dogfight thenerao, it was designed for hiding, that is the end of it.

Actually, there was a british analysis ( which are pretty accurate since they got access to F-35) and they said that the F-35 is overweight despite its large engine. They say the maneuverability is similar to the F-105!!!! And, even the designer said they were not intended for combat but more for strike mission.

F-35= not very agile.
