You may want to unwrap your tourniquet and store it in a way that you can get it in use as quickly as possible. Time is short if you're using a tourniquet. Looks like you have a great kit for trauma!
When I went through Whiskey school, one of my cadre's threw "shears" at me when I referred to it as scissors. He then smoked me for 15 minutes making me low crawl in the San Antonio humid-heat with full battle rattle. I'm not mad though.
@TheAce22716 Class of 07-11, got there around March 2011 and Graduated the end of June. Don't miss it at all. LoL Foxtrot Falcons, we set the standard hooah!
Very good medic back, and if you have to use it/ take it out, make sure you have water, I'd say water is the most important thing a medic can have. Also buy some antibacterial medication online, you can usually get cheap generic medicine to fight "the clap" but it is just a generic anti-bacterial medicine to fight a magnitude of diseases. A few anti-inflammatory/anti-histamines would also be a solid addition as well.
For trained paramedics: I would recommend bags from Stat packs. They are pricey, but if you are trained and licensed to provide ALS level care, then those are some really nice bags. My medic kit cost me about $400 total, but my training cost me well over $8,000.
I would highly recommend taking the time to learn how to use the kit that you have good sir. Thinking that you will figure it out when the time comes is not practical. I have seen this first hand my friend. I spent time training Iraqi medics and this was a vital concept in their training. We taught them to use everything they had and then some. GET TO KNOW YOUR KIT INTIMATELY, nothing can replace this. Train for certainty, educate for uncertainty. Much love and blessings to you my friend.
@91b1982 even then in some areas you still cannot use it. Some placed its illegal to even possess it.
@ivegotamagicstix Due to the weight issue I wouldn't even carry it if you dont know how to use it, good overview though. Also I would rather have a 50 dollar POS bag and have thousands of dollars worth of training than vice versa......just saying
@Utahmikew well there could luckily be a person that knows how to use it around you,so if its light and doesnt take up much room i would pack it,and if you dont know how to use it just take some classes on it
You have dspent a lot of money on this stuff but you have neglected to spend any money on training. You can't "just figure it out when the time comes" use this stuff!
You have a great bag, probably the best medic bag you can buy, but you need to work on its organization and filling in the holes with additional supplies and diagnostic equipment that are within your scope of practice. Not bad through, just needs a little more work. There are lots of resources on the net to guide you.
Dont go with the VooDoo bag, its an inferior quality one. The Blackhawk STOMP isnt too bad, its definetley better than the VooDoo, but not as good as the London Bridge one. The LB packs are expensive, but you can find them on sale or used occasionally. They are also made in the USA.
@Kaydondada Yes, I have alcohol, iodine, super glue and other stuff in one of the inner pockets, I shot this myself and only had One free hand and did not want the video to be too shaky
I like the part where he says he will figure it out in the video regarding the IV, lol.

Nice video. I'm highly considering this bag, I'm still debating between the Stomp, VooDoo and London Bridge.
