Hey I LOVE rice milk, there is also oat and almond milk - I don't like to have too much soy in my diet. I have organic rice milk and it has calcium in it
Thank you so much for everything you just said. I am very motivated to go veg full time and I have psorisis and have noticed an improvement since removing meats. My energy has risen and my weight went down. Thank you again for being so honest with us, it is appreciated.
It's hard enough being vegetarian at my school. I'm 18 and am graduating in 10 weeks but i can't even eat a salad with out a wide eyed freshmen staring at me or some guy talking about ripping out deer guts on one of his hunting trips. I eat very health because my dad cooks all of this arabic food that was passed down in my family.
It's been 2 weeks since I started giving my baby girl (20 monts old) full fat soy milk instead of cow's milk formula. She had this awful rash on her neck, it was starting to spread to her chest and her back, and it also was starting to show on her face (besides her eyes and cheeks) and almost all of her body's skin felt kind of rough... even worse on the rash zones. Now her skin feels soft again, and the rash is almost gone
The same here. When I became vegan, my whole life has changed. Just like you, I had depression, but once I became vegan I am more emotionally balanced. Something that I know I would never have been if I was a meat eater. A lot of our stress comes from CULTURE that's still tied to meat eating. Meat eaters are barbaric and extreme. This comes from consumed enzymes of the stressed out animals they eat. Vegans living around this stress feel weak, but this is not from the lack of certain vitamins.
Well its easy to do now that it's not obvious anymore. I was deeply ashamed of it while it was there. I still have a bit of dermatitis but it wouldn't stand out to anyone who wasn't looking for it anymore most of the time, which is a DRAMATIC improvement and has made my life MUCH easier and happier.
I am soooo happy to see you getting better even with all the stressfull situations. I know from personnal experience that stress, even a little bit, can be destructive. And like you, eversince i became vegan, i can manage it much better. You still look a little tired, but you look good sweety. Email me when you have a chance. I hope that you found a job or at least someway of gaining an income. Take care and dont worry taking your time, i dont mind since i am quite busy myself.
I'm kinda concerned regarding candida as I eat alot of mushrooms as protein sources. For example...I eat Portebella mushrooms as well as certain "fake meat" products made of mushroom.
This is great! Congrats! I deal with issues much better than I would before. I am very depressed right now - my friends worked for Lehman brothers and the economy - trying to sell my home etc - it's very stressful, but handling it much better than I would have....
I can see the improvements from pt1, that your vegan diet has had :) personally I found that not eating dairy has made a huge difference. Then dropping meat/fish/caffiene etc.. has made a massive difference! now I'm eating mostly raw, I feel I have more energy, and my health is soo much better.
Honestly, you're looking WAY better than the photos you showed from a year ago. I can't even guess what specifically in your diet changed your health so dramatically... but there's definately something.
Too bad veganism doesn't cure chronic uglyness.

Candida = instability of mood, depression, eczema, PMS in women & a whole host of other problems that are fairly common.
"They" also say that moving in with in-laws is up there with the big-momma-stressors.
