Why cant they just show the bloody games in the angle they are played from, so we can discover if we are interested in it or not. Is it a third person shooter? Is it a hack n slash a la Too Human / Torchlight? Is it a small squad based RTS like C&C4? *coughs in disgust*

I love the warhammer 40k Universe but the tabletop game is just way to expensive for me but I do read up some lore (amazing stories in the codexes) and look up amazing models (see goldendemonwinnerdotfree just to see how talented some people are)

SC vs WH both are some what good if you want mostly campaign then WH is your game. If you want to make your own maps and custom stuff SC is for you. Now story well i think we all know WH wins that one. SC has a good story but WM can really get you in to it. So if your a comic lover read WH's comics far more detail in to the world of WH.

Warhammer has story? I'm usually too busy just killing things. I was really impressed by the SC2 Campaign, though. Dawn of War 2's campaign was just about killing stuff with no real story added into it. Just how I like it. :)

@Araclain umm you do know Relic use to be part of blizzard right? SC and WH are both nice and all, but they seem to be copying one another. WH has a better story. SC is mostly RTS. WH feels more like a top view arcade game. SC feels more like a cartoon RTS. WM feels like it could have been better. Company wise Relic is better at giving gamers treats so to speak. Blizzard well i think they should make movies. Games are just not there thing

@m00nGeek I love this arguement.. GW came up with all of this shit years before Blizzard.. The first Warcraft was in 1994.. and Starcraft was in 1998.. Warhammer: Fantasy Battles was first devised in 1983 and the game came together in 1984 as we know it today.. Warhammer 40,00.. was originally developed in 1987 and came into the style we know now in 1993.

If there is any thieving going on here.. you can look right back at Bliz. Gamesworkshop was first every time.

Yes, this argument has been around for a long time. Most of the time they're just trolls, so no need to pay attention to them. Though GW also took a lot of inspiration from Starship Soldier in the 1950s (later to be called Trooper). You can see a lot of inspiration from the bugs in their compared to the Tyranids and some early Space Marine design. Many of the Zerg units and Terran units also resemble Starship Soldier descriptions to the teeth as well.
