Does anyone know what make of 12 string Paul is playing? It sounds great, and I love the head-stock design!
I have heard the studio version of Blue Bird and it pales in comparison to this performance. Does anyone know if this concert is available on cd, and if so what is it called? This has to be my favorite McCartney song, providing it is this version!
@Funkyme4 completely agree. I understand it is cheaper for him to hire one guy to do that, but he did have a great horn section, and their sound adds so much. The keyboards will never cut it, it sounds awful when they try to do any horn things.
Thanks for your post I feel my heart pounding when the horns play when the song"Yet" starts at the America tour it could be an intro at sports events very much the same as "eye of the tiger"
Can you imagine Paul even think about adding horns at such a rock song he's a genius
@Funkyme4 I completely agree! Such a great song and it really does give me chills. As a sax player myself, it has always been a dream of mine to play in that horn section. Now if Paul will ever add a horn section again...
I think 1976 was Paul's vocal peak

Pure magic. Wish I could have seen Wings on this tour.

He's platinum now! Still growing better and more all-round (even clssical and ballet-music!) It never stops... you'll never know what comes next.
He's unique, the musical icon of our times.

Paul was so right to use a horn section at those live shows.

@Funkyme4 Yeah, I wish he'd do it again. The keyboards just don't cut it, and maybe a small strings section as well.
