@CampKohler The other kitty you commented on is my Clide - he was cat #5 (of 5 - and we're holding steady at that). He was dumped at the same high kill shelter this kitty came from a few days before xmas last year with a mouth full of painful, rotten teeth (now mostly removed). He's about 15.
@renarf How does a cat (or a dog for that matter) get "a mouthfull" of rotten teeth? Doesn't mother nature sort of take care of things like that by the animal seeking out good things to eat? It's not like they are wolfing down huge slices of cheese cake with a Pepsi chaser and then forgetting to brush.
Re blog: I am retired and could to do it all if I had the facts (voicemail?). However, I don't think the written word would be enough; you gotta have lots of cute pix for the awwwe factor.
@CampKohler I don't know how I would find the time to do the rescue, have my more than full time job, have my band, AND keep a blog. :( As to pictures, this kitty is being picked up by her airline companion as I type this (yay!). Hopefully he'll take pics!!
@CampKohler Honestly - I do SO MUCH rescue and the requests are literally never ending. :( My specialty seems to be two-fold - I work with two area shelters that are high traffic. One of them (the one this kitty came from) is also tragically high-kill. I help with especially the senior surrenders and special needs cats. I also field a lot of requests for people who have to give up their cats either due to the economy or going into a nursing home or whatever. This year has been super bad.
It's a vet's office! This cat is being saved - pulled from a high kill shelter today, will spend the night at the vet's tonight and then be picked up by his adoptive person's brother-in-law, who will spend the night at a pet-friendly hotel before flying himself and the cat to the cat's new home in Seattle, WA!!
@renarf There obviously was a lot of coordination, etc. to make all that happen. Perhaps you could open a blog at bloggerdotcom ("Home at last!"?) to record the journeys of these poor souls from lost to found. If such a blog got to be known, success stories would be a boost for the adoption process. If you don't have the time, send me the details (lots of them) and I will whack out a story and send it to you to see what you think.
@renarf Oh, and get lots of pictures: the cat being picked up, put in the travel cage, unloading the cage at the airport, arriving at the new home, etc. The more the better.

Eighteen seconds? That's it? A flea would barely have time to jump off the cat in that time.
That looks like a stainless steel table. Are you sure this isn't a vet's office?
