You seem very experienced with cockatiels. Please give me some advice.I only have a female. She's very sweet and makes a great companion. She calls for me when I leave the room and loves to ride on my shoulder when I clean house. But whenever she lays a clutch of eggs she just sits on them and hisses at me when I walk by.I don't want to distress her by taking them out before she knows they won't hatch so I wait until then. I bought her for a companion and miss it during these times. What should I do?
my male is only 11 mounths old and he still wont mate but not all eggs have a baby in them u know my old male mated with my female and not one had hach
I am guessing that egg is fertile just by the way he was treating it but usually the mother bird would sit on the egg but who knows maybe he will sit on it.
those cockatiels look way to young to be raising clutches of babies, you have to be really careful breeding them this young as the female can become egg bound and could easily die, and the reason why the male is a "newbie" is because he's so young because he still has barring on his tail, please research more before breeding, you can really damage these birds health if they aren't even a year old, which is the minimum age requirement for breeding cockatiels
well that means that the bird was not intended to lay an egg it just layed an egg because it was loved so much if you need any other advice please comment

@childsweethearts I would take the eggs away otherwise after time she will get bored with the eggs and not care to them anymore
