  • need aboyfriend hahaahah

  • @Wetspraypainties She's married......:)

  • if you live far enough from work, commuting on your tri bike is a good way to save time and maintain a base...I do that currently on my road bike because I live about 17 miles from my office.

still trying to figure out how to incorporate running/swimming into my regimen though

  • Its pretty useless to train biceps, it only gives u aditional weight while training.

  • @TriathletAugust You are right. Besides, triceps make up 2/3 of that area of your arm. The running power comes from the triceps anyway. Training biceps is useless.

  • @crimsonmonieful running power comes from your legs... just want to clarify that for you :p

  • @jameszoom you use your arms just as rapidly as your legs. Imagine running without arms. It would suck.

  • but you look badass

  • @TriathletAugust they help slightly with pushing your arm forward whilst running

  • respect.

  • I get it ,you are busy.....Yawn....

  • @onespeedgreg1 You are missing the point....... You are not the sharpest tool in the shed I see!

  • @AngelOne11 ...Oh no, i get it

  • @onespeedgreg1 ok then u must have an alternative motive for your comment and it's not my business. Sorry for saying nasty things to you!

I like her vid because it motivates me to push self harder!

  • Great video!!!

  • just how many days are there in your week...? i counted about 9......

  • Omg. I was so like you. Then after 15 years I stopped. I had my life back.

  • Did you say you work a full time job? Now how on earth ... that is amazing. You can train for ironman the propper way and have a full time job.. rolling eyes.

  • @turcuovidiugelu By waking up at 5:45 in the morning. This year I'm training for an olympic length triathlon and to build much needed fitness, and I wake up at 7 am to do 1h of training (this can be running, cycling, swimming or weights) 6 times a week. Next year I intend to train for an ironman and I'll need to double that training time, if I want to have chances of succeeding, the only way of doing it will be by waking up 1h earlier .

  • This was awesome and thank you for sharing this.

  • amazing

  • this is awesome

  • thanks for the video. you are not alone with your training. some days i'll be on the stairmaster machine at the gym for 5 hrs in one setting, which is mind blowing to most members at 24 hrs fitness. but some days i'll question why i even do it. your video helps and lots and lots of bruce lee hl video too. keep up the workouts. much appreciated of your work and dedication. much admiration and inspiration!!!

  • I was training for the Ironman in SA 2 years back while doing my articles in law, I got too sick too train for about 3 months before, and I had to bail on my attempt! Watching this almost made me cry. Its really inspirational and I'm going to set my sights on the half ironman when I get back to South Africa.

    Keep up the good work.

    And

    ...Thank you!

  • The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony

  • Whats the song in the beginning of the video?

  • What's the name of the music with violin at at the beginning and the end of the video.../???????

  • @daveisatrini Bitter Sweet Symphony I think.

  • Really cool video!the beginning is so true :o) Going full distance next year, pursuing my goal as well! but 5h30 is a bit too early for me :op

  • Thank you for this video this is so motivating I hope I can do what you do one day thank you :)

  • i am work my way to do a ironman.

  • Damn this is sooo motivating!

  • nooo!!!! do barbell squats!!! that machine is dangerous. other than that great video

  • no lifer

  • @BrundukasLT more of a life than living on the internet and xbox right...

  • @squiddie96 you are so fucking badly right!!!

  • Great video.

  • ur a true inspiration, you inspired me to train and start on my own journey

  • Inspirational...thanks for making this!

  • Wow... I could never have expressed these shared feelings anywhere near as elegantly as this. Good luck! Much respect...

  • i watch this video everyday. i do triathlons myself but not on the ironman scale yet. i think u r amazing person and have great respect for u.

  • this is the most inspiring tri video ever! I hope we meet some day at some ironman race. My best regards from Greece!

  • What do you do for work kimberlyysbi?

  • Incredible and strong lady!!!

  • All I can say is WOW! I used to be relatively fit and then sort of lost it when I was going through college and had kids. Now I am trying to get some of it back by starting a running program. This video is so inspiring! I think I will be back to see it again soon.

  • Loved this video. Love your dedication.

  • So, in your first Ironman, eight women trained harder than you, or wanted it more than you.

  • @cosg9531 or perhaps they were slightly more talented or more experienced. She said it herself, she might not be the most talented athlete (same goes for me), but win, lose, or tie, she will always train and perform like a champion. And that is how she will reach her goals and dreams.

  • So inspirational! I'm doing my first ever tri in July and I've only just learnt how to swim, keep having moments when I think I'll never finish, might as well give up. Your video makes me feel I can do anything :-)

  • I watch this clip all the time. I think your amazing. I do triathlons myself. I'm going to do an ironman next year.

  • You are freaking awesome!!!! Congrats on making it to Kona!!! This video is an inspiration to me. I am turning 30 this year and my goal is to do an Ironman by 35. A friend of mine went to Kona last year after winning 1st in her age group in Florida... she was 40. Maybe one day I will be in Kona

  • @rickypateful its too bad you feel that way. I'm certainly not rich. I just scape by and don't spend money on other things so I can have enough to train and race. No reason to be a hater my friend!

  • give me the money to train and I would win the whole thing. you rich people just float in life.

  • @TheLakemann.. hey.. this world takes all kinds. No one way is better than another. I'd just like to live to be 90 feeling good, healthy and strong.. so, that's my choice! Yours may be different! no worries!

  • @kxd185 Exactly! Depends upon genetics. All of my ancestors lived into their 90s or older. It's all a crapshoot, buddy. Just remember that Jim Fixx, the author of The Complete Book of Running, dropped dead... while running! Rock on.

  • Some people say, "Who gives a healthy shit? I'd rather smoke, drink, and eat vast quantities of rich foods. And lounge, enjoying watching movies." YEAH!

  • Really inspiring thanks for sharing.

  • whats wrong with beer and pizza

  • @traitor88 Fuckin' A, Bubba. My sentiments exactly. And don't forget smoking and lounging.

  • Lovely video.. I will be watching this regularly until my first olympic tri. It's always inspiring to see committed, talented athletes who also work full time. Thanks for posting.

  • good luck in kona!

  • how manys days are in a week? : {

  • I love these one :)

  • very inspirational your amazing....whats the name of the opening song ?

  • Truly inspirational. The opening track gave me goosebumps!

  • shes hott!

  • How can 10 people dislike this?

  • Fantastic video, I watch it all the time, keeps me motivated when training gets difficult. Thanks for the inspiration. All the best in Kona!!!

  • It took eight months of practice and drills to learn the most efficient stroke and the correct body position in the water.

These days I can finally keep up with the faster swimmers in my master swimming group.

there's a little bit more for xa12345678910 up to 1:07

  • @ssmith1381

thanks so much ssmith1381, this really aids me to understand a little better her message, i keep this vid between my favourites ones and ussually i find it and enjoy watching it at least one time at week....trying to understand that nice voice.

dont give up to continue from 1:08..a bit more pls

  • I have loved competitions since I was a little girl, but I never imagined it would bring me here training for the opportunity to compete at the ironman championships in kona Hawaii. It’s a lofty goal, I know, but I’m excited about the journey I am about to take. I haven’t come this far by being afraid of a challenge.

My day starts very early; usually about 5.30 am it’s off to the gym to begin my first work out of the day.

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, that’s swimming.

  • I love the video! It's very inspiring and really motivated me to worker harder to become a better athlete that I know I can become. Attending and completing the Ironman is my dream and I really wish that I can achieve that goal someday. Thanks for a great inspiration!

  • I'm more specifically a runner, but was wondering if anybody knows ways to prevent stress fractures in the metatarsals? Maybe I'm just prone to them, but I'm sitting here with my 2nd stress fracture in three or four months. I've been following the 10% rule for the most part, was just wondering if anybody else has experiences with this type of injury? Thanks.

  • Hey

Where did you get your Quote from, that you say near the start??????

    Cheers!!

  • Great video!!

  • BEAST!!!

  • "Some people say it's too early, some people say it's too cold, some people say it's too far, some people say it takes too long, some people say i could get hurt, but they don't know I learned a few secrets that drive me to persue my goals. If it hurts it will only make you stronger. If it requires sacrifice, victory will be that much sweeter and finally nothing and i mean nothing compares to reaching goals that others said were finally out of your reach." - I hear that ten times each single day

  • @Iluminati182006

please, somebody could follow writing the rest of the off voice from "out of your reach." until the final? id like to understant fully this vid, and i reconize i still need to learn a bit of english..... thanks in advance...

  • @XA12345678910

at what time does it say "out of your reach"?

  • @ssmith

At time 0:29 sec she finish her first paragraph with those words (see above the text posted by 'lluminati'). Some kind person who wants to complete fully the video words?... thanks

  • Good luck!

  • Inspirational,! • "I don't watch much TV, but I don't feel I'm missing much"

    Brilliant!

According to Wikipedia, the average US american watches 28 hours of TV per week... cut that out of your schedule, and there's your training time.

  • @PlanCartesien

How can people find 28 hours per week to watch TV? That's crazy!

  • @jfdesmeules Don't know. I don't watch TV. I'm also training to do IM Lake Placid before I turn 50. But I have a student who did a project on the subject in which he surveyed over 40 people (young and adult) around him on the amount of time spent in front of the TV and the results are staggering. Everytime I hear people talk about what they saw on TV, I always say "vous en avez du temps pour regarder la TV!" because those are the people who say they have no time to get fit for anything.

  • its not about the size of the dog in the fight , its the size of the fight in the dog :D

  • You are a beautiful lady!! Good Luck!

  • Nice smith machine BRO.

  • @gmspeedfreak Excuses Excuses Excuses

  • BRAVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great job on your finish in both the St. Croix 70.3 and the Hawaii Ironman. I just raced in my first sprint triathlon and I'm envious of the beautiful countryside you get to train in. I'm training on the busy streets of Florida (way too many cars)

  • great video!!

  • I've only been training for months and i have along ways to go. How many laps do you do when training for the swim? You are inspirational to me keep up the good work.

  • Thank you everyone.. you are very sweet and I appreciate all of you!!!!!

  • I just started to train again after three weeks of illness. When I started jogging up my first steep hill I was a bit worried, felt weak and doubted myself. Then your voice came into my head.. and the feeling came back strong. Now returning to ironman-project. Thanks. You inspire me and this movie is filed under "Heroes" on my Mac. Take care and good luck with your training.

  • I LOVE TRAINNING

  • Great video. It came up when I searched for my name and ironman "sam allen" I don't know why but someone added one of my finishes to your link? Did you make it to Kona yet? It doesn't matter if you haven't as long as you love it still. Sam.

  • she's a good roll model

  • @xoxoJubeeVxoxo I didn't see her roll anywhere in this video?

  • I'm doing my second olympic distance tri tomorrow, but didn't have the motivation that I did last year... until I saw this. Thank you and good luck.

  • I admire you.

Im training for Ironman aswell, and your words will help me.

    Good luck!

  • Did you make it to Kona? How do I find what time I need to post to qualify for Kona?

  • @rangerdanger222 it depends on which race you choose to enter and your age. Each qualifying race has a diffrent number of qualifaction slots, if you're between 18 and 50 there will be several slots per age group, but the competition is VERY hot.

  • awesome stuff

  • the thing that you say at the start is so true

  • Good job !! Keep it up. I hope you don't get injure.

  • you're great thank you.

  • I saw my first Ironman in Lanzarote last week. It is calling me to have a go at leased at a Olympic Triathlon. If only we did not have to work life would be great .

  • @Brendan7838 Go and do it Brendan - it is very addictive and I guarantee it will be one of, if not THE, best decision of your life.

  • real pros are lucky (even though they worked hard to get there) Their lone job is to train and to rest. Perfect harmony between the 2. Generally, they got a university diploma, so they sometimes work in their field after their pro career in the sport is done.

  • "I don't watch much TV, but I don't feel like I'm missing much". Excellent quote Kimberly. Good luck.
