This mouse is absolute garbage as are most of razer's products trust me unless you wanna waste a lot of money to make your gaming rig look cooler stay away from razer products unless you don't mind it only lasting a year, seriously my lachesis lasted me about 9 months before it just died, so i got the death adder, and what do you know it died on me to in under a year... will never buy razer products again, ill just stick to the flawless 15$ mouse i got lol never had a problem with it.

Just because you had a bad experience with a faulty product doesn't mean they are all like that. Far from it. I've had Razer for a while now also and never had a problem.. Mice, and Keyboards. All in perfect working order. They are the most comfortable mice, for gaming I have used, well thought out and actually fits your hand.. Unlike most others.

mouse is a total POS. 1st one laser shut off in 12 days. Razer told me to get RMA from Newegg. I had thrown box out. 2 wks go by and Razer sends me replacement.  Been using mouse for 2 weeks now. It used to glide over surface but now pads are worn and it is sticky movement. My MS intellimouse explorer I've had for 5 yrs works better than this thing.

When i'm using the mouse (right handed) i sometimes hit the buttons on the right side i guess for the left handed people use, but when i hit the buttons the mouse stops working for about 2-3 seconds. 4000 DPI is not absolutely necessary but I mean.. the more the better. It's smoother. That doesn't mean you'll lose in SC2 or something just cause you have a worse mouse. 1800 DPI is good enough.

@RichyRichy actually, the higher the DPI the less you have to move the mouse. etc a high dpi mouse only has to move a little compared to a low dpi mouse to move the same distance on the screen. on my new mouse i went up to 5600 dpi, i moved the mouse a inch in TF2 and i litterally did a 360.

The worst you can do is go to Razer Support (cannot post link) and download the latest drivers AND the firmware updater.

I have this problem still and its been two years.

A little warning: it'll also react to the bass of your speakers and float around or if you have your PC placed on top of the same desk.

I tried, but alas, Razer and others censored me.

I'm angry and I want to get even, but I would also like to get the point across that premium gaming accessories are NOT worth it. Just find one's that suit your needs and not the one's that claim to have amazing performance from some new technology.

The sensitivity worked against the mouse and the cool appearance keyboard are it's downfall. The gaming mat definitely helps with consistent reactions but doesn't justify the price tag.

And then my new profile (like its facbook) is enabled.

The on-board USB port never seems to work off the bat or at all and the headphone mini-jacks next to the USB port require my typing fingers to fight with the lead that trails over my keyboard to my ears. The USB connector that connects the keybard to my pc, has lots of wickle fwends. There's Mr and Mrs's USB, and the baby twins, Audio and Microphone Jack. They all have lovely days and nights clogging up all my ports like a bad case of the Flu.

The blue backlighting of the keys and the black of the keyboard plays a kind of stereogram trick on my eyes at night, and renders them useless during daylight as the LED's aren't bright enough. I bought this mouse and used it and I did not like the feel, I felt the buttons were too hard to click and it weighed too much.

Also tweaking the settings on Windows 7 causes some bugs like the cursor skips around if you set the sensitivity too high.

Another weird problem is when I restarted my computer it crashed after I installed the drivers.

the reason i like the diamondback more is because i'm a finger tip gamer and that mouse is build for people who hold it like that. However if you like to palm your mouse, the deathadder is better. it all depends on what you like but you can't go wrong with either

I can help. I've had almost every decent gaming mouse on the market. I did a review of the lachesis in my channel if you want to check it out, if not...then the short and sweat response is: Deathadder is better than the lachesis. however if you like to hold your mouse with your finger tips, then the deathadder may not be for you. if that's the case, you should still avoid the lachesis and get the diamondback 3g. The Lachesis just isn't a good mouse and no good gamer uses it
