  • Bobby Darin is one of my favourites. Beautiful man. Very sad that he died so early and knew that he probably would as well.

  • Wow, what a permorer and performance.

    Karl and Buffey the Wife

  • @CallumJStewart Exactly. Darin could do anything Sinatra could do; a much better artist in every aspect.

    RIP

  • Fabulous, heart-felt version. 100-0 likes to dislikes!

  • Where is the love button?!?!?! Orgasmic performance!!!!!!!!!!

  • Maravilloso...

  • god how i love this song, im 22 and have only recently discovered bobby but i have to say there is nobody out there that could top him, singer actor musician impressionist plus hes kinda cute too

he should have definitely have had more recognition

  • @classicsforfree

he could do any kind of m usic. i love when he does soul. music . he sings like a black man.! :)

  • It seems that many of the covers bobby does are simply brilliant!

  • Fantastico,espetacular,show de bola!!

  • I love the way Bobby Darin sings this song,i would of liked to have met him.

  • @joeystree

    who wouldnt ? :)

  • Que interpretação fabulosa!

  • Absolutely awesome!

  • Wow I haven't seen this one he is so amazing!!!! I can't stop watching him...thank God for you tube!!!!

  • I read that Bobby and Neil Diamond were good friends. I like what he did with this song, slowing the tempo a little.

It's a shame Bobby Darin is not here today, he would be my mom's age, still singing and dancing for us all. RIP Bobby, you made the world a better place during your short time here.

  • I love 4:06 where he slurs the "I've" lyric. It's amazing!

  • @baileegirly hi would be as old as my grandfather and I think I have a crush over him too...

  • most beautiful song ever................

  • I heard him do many up-beat songs in a slow tempo which most singer pretty well butcher, but BD has made them very easy to listen to.Even the N.Diamond Tribute acts tend to kill this song with a poor immitation. I now see why BD was not a fan of TV from its structure to make singers conform to their alloted time.

  • for me to equal someone with neil on a Diamond song -well here it is.

  • He would always sing with so much soul.

  • Thanks to the internet for being able to see and hear my favorite entertainers. None can surpass him. He and Sinitra wil live forever.

  • Bobby will get the GRAMMY LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD ON Jan 30, 2010! Bobby was a true legend.

RIP Bobby : He passed away 36 years ago today December 20, 1973.

  • Have to keep watching this in my playlist.

  • Any song this man chose to sing instantly became his. What a great talent taken from us way tooooooo soon!

  • so haunting --on a par with Neil's -each in their own way

  • Amazing... even better than Neil's.

  • Blowing away performance! That is exactly why I just cant get enough of him! mindblowing stunning performance DYNAMITE realy. I mean he's an incredible singer, performer, stand up comedian, great dancer, quick minded in interviews, funny, plays heavens knows how many instruments, composer and girls...we have to agree on one last point a hell of a looker too!

What else could one possibly ask for? Yeah maby one thing that he might have stayed longer with us.

Bobby... there no words to discribe you

  • yet u just described him...with words

but its all true so w/e

  • Neil Diamond has said that he originally wrote "Solitary Man" with the hope that Bobby Darin would record it.

  • You would never know that he was so ill at the time...what a tragedy that he passed away so young. He gave his heart and soul to the world. This is my favorite song of his. No one compares to Bobby Darin.

  • i no not whether you are male or female, ol or young, but i love you - lol - Bobby was the greatest. mucho respect for you. Love, Mikey x

  • Lol, thanks :) I'm female, in my twenties. Glad to meet someone kind and agreeable on YouTube.

  • That's a nice thing to say - thank you

    M x

  • WTF is up with the belt??? Good version thought.

  • His belt buckle with the peace sign had great meaning for Bobby. He was fiercely dedicated to peace and he wore this buckle on stage until his last performances in Aug 1973.

  • Great as always. I like him in those jeans. Yummy.

  • Bellissima performance,da i brividi!!..Grazie per avere aggiunto questo video!

  • Great performance! He really was good!

  • Great version!! Wow! The way he started belting it out a minute before the end it's hard to believe he would need oxygen inbetween and after performing.

  • When was this performance?

  • It is from an episode of "The Bobby Darin Show" that aired on January 19, 1973.

  • THERE ARE SUCH BEAUTY IN THIS VERSION!

  • At 3:45 he reaches down and belts it out for all he's worth. Bless his heart. Bobby I love you.

  • i just love it!

  • awe....i miss the video.

  • Best version ever!

  • Yes,Brilliant!Great arrangement of this classic.

  • I really like his version. A lot.

  • Is there anything this man couldn't do? Brilliant talent.

  • HOT.

  • Thanks, LAURA!

    BOBBY ES MAGNIFICO!!

    Thank you!
