Great headphones for studio or home recording use. I would not recommend these for ipod or mp3 use as the volume needs to be quite loud to get any decent level.

Get Serious People....Beat By Dr. Dre Sucks except if you are buying the Pro's! The Beats are Bass Driven and the Bass is mediocre on everything except the Pro's. Get a pair of Bose Over the Ear Headphones or buy a pair of sennheisers!

I have these headphones and they are great. I only wish that they had just a bit more bass and that the cord wasn't so freakishly long.

i just got hd 201's, and it is the best pair of headphones iv had. And by the way the the beats solos are desasterous.

Pros: They are very comfortable and will fit any head size.

Cons: The bass response is very bad. Sennheiser should have warned that they are not good for MP3 player use. You have to max out the volume to get any decent price when used on an Ipod or other MP3 player.

I have these, they sound fantastic, but they break very easily, i would recommend it 1000 times over apple's earshits though, because i have had to replace my apples about 8 times, THEY SUCK

Great Video. Could You please reply to this, i got the sennheiser HD 201 one week ago as usual great pair of cans i got them because of your review thanks alot. My question is the ear cups (leather peice) on the left side moves a little when i turn it with my hand ( just feel the leather peice and move it side to side and clockwise and see) but the right ear doesnt move its very tightly placed. is that normal or sumting plz reply much appreciated.

No one should get Bose headphones it's bullcrap!!! The bass is hyped and mids are lacked!!! If you want good studio soundquality buy some grados, akg or beyerdynamics

I've got these sennheiser headphones and i really like em.

great sound quality and i use them for playing keyboard, for a step up i agree on getting sennheiser's higher model. Bose would be the phones to shoot for though.

i make music using cubase 5 and guitars, drums and bass, using eq compression and whatnot.

for the money they are great, and very comfortable and they are really well built which is unusual for me to say about Head Phones (i do batter headphones a lot).

but for making music, lol they are useless apart from recording sessions where tone doesnt matter, but for mixing music (not dj mixing but mixing songs) they are useless and I mean useless. Great for Games and acceptable general music listening

that's because you're so used to using those earbud headphones at full blast like most kids. When you do that, it makes you think that abnormally loud music is normal.

I've had that before from cable failure - I like to wind the cable round my mp3 player and over time that stretches and damages the cable - got told off for doing that to pro audio cables :P Also check the device isn't too powerful for the headphones. My battery in my sony mp3 player was going awry and i think that caused two pairs of headphones to fail. HTH

I ordered the gaming version on the HD 201's which are basically exactly the same thing, it's a re-market scheme I think :P

but I think I ended up getting the normal HD 201's for some reason.

my eh150 the right earphone is sorta broken, the wire doesn't normally work, you have to hold it, I think the wire got damaged.

I have a AV(female) to 3.5mm(male) going from my Xbox AV to the input of my computer. Then I plug my headphones into the headphone jack.
