C.) This is TRAINING. You don't haunch up 100%.

D.) You ESPECIALLY don't haunch up on your master.

You think Gurgel doesn't know how deadly Garcia is? But Garcia is there to LEARN, not teach. Gurgel showed him on antidote to his explosiveness is to slowly, methodically control him and use his assets (weight/strength) to get a tap. I'm sure Garcia slept just fine that night, though.

well, you guys have to remember, not only is fabio gurgel an amazing grappler himself, but he's probably rolled with marcelo many many times and therefore knows a lot of his go-to stuff and how to counter it

I thought the same thing. because of how F.G. reaches over with his left hand to secure the arm at about 1:30 but then he moves his base higher and applies his pressure downward not toward the elbow which makes me think that he may be putting pressure on the sholder. or Marcelino may have just positioned his elbow lower in defense. either way these guys are light years ahead of me and a privilege to watch
