@Appollux obviously, and after becoming a deadric prince, 200 years pass and the story of skyrim begins. im just saying it is weird that the same guy would be alive for 200 years. I mean, after a while, the previous Sheogorath had to give up his throne so by the time the story of skyim comes into this picture, i would guess there would already be a new Sheogorath so it cant be the same guy you play as from before.

@Appollux that is also true. if that is the case, however, why did the previous sheogorath had to be "replaced"? and the previous sheogorath and the new sheogorath look way to similar. Unless your contract with sheogorath, in the shiver isles, wasn't permanent and sheogorath came back to claim his throne after a "vacation" or something (before skyrim). Or im just looking to deeply into things.

@riped01 it makes more sense if you played shivering isles on oblivion. put simply the jyggalag, the daedric prince of order, was cursed by the other gods so that he would become sheogorath, daedric prince of madness. by killing jyggalag/previous sheogorath, you break the curse and become sheogorath. its weird but it is sheogorath we're talking about :P

@xkidB have soul gems, and then highlight the staff/item you want to charge in your inventory a button should appear at the bottom of the screen telling you what to press on PC it's T then select your soul gem you want to use

Hmm...Well Daderic Princes can alter there form (as demonstrated by Sanguine)so perhaps that appearance is just what Sheogorath uses when outside the shivering isle on business or when dealing with mortals(or ex-mortals like Palegius) so your Oblivion char is still themselves they just transform into that form when there dealing outside of the isle....That explanation make sense to anyone else?

I wouldn't consider this the best staff in the game, or weapon for that matter. I one shot giants with my bow on master difficulty. Technically transforming them doesn't kill them outright either. They're still alive, only in the form of a rabbit though. However, they wont attack you after having been polymorphed.

@Tinysissycheater actually not all, the summoned daedra are known as dremora but the ones whom you interact with to become their champion are known as daedric lords. Im guessing mainly because they have a place of power within oblivion, on another interesting note even "lords" who have female voices are not called "lady" but I'm not sure why.

@TheCODGrunt nnnnope, 200 years have passed and they named a new one when the previous dissapeared, you don't think cicero is THAT old, he is not even a wood elf so a long life in a human is pretty rare, maybe tiber septim, but he lived till the advanced age of 80+, he just did the same stuff the previous adoring fan did and killed a pompous fool, your oblivion character turned into sheogorath regardless of gender and is having great fun in skyrim(in the form the daedra prince of madness uses)

Well, it certainly is a brilliant staff, But its not the most powerful. Dragon Priest's Staff...If you happen to find the right one, (Witch is mostly Impossible) I Will do a deal of 90 damage a second.
