OMG This guy plays like he owns this music. He makes a few little mistakes, but when you so good, your mistakes do not count and become a part of the flow of music :) Very well done. I wish I could play cello like him :(  Is that the Turkish flag behind the cello player?

Beautiful...Very expressive. I like the freedom you use with your tempo.

I think it's fitting that it's played on a cello too, since cellos (and other stringed instruments) are the most expressive instruments I can think of other than the voice.

One of my favorite Faure pieces, and a favorite song to sing (I'm a tenor)...I thought it was great...some portamentos I don't agree with, and the last eleven notes are meant to be "sung" as one whole continuous phrase (in the song, it's one word: "mysterieuse.") Still beautifully done...

@thomasrehling I have heard recordings much faster, and much slower than this. It's all down to taste. For me personally, this is about right.
