She wasn't dropped, she just didn't get her contract renewed. But she immediately signed with another major label which I think shows a lot. I heard she signed with Warner, which is impressive, it would be the first AI contestant I know of to have a major deal outside of Sony/the "Idol labels", who likely only sign contestants to capitalize on their 15 minutes. Katharine however, has been recognized elsewhere as someone who can have a long career. Perhaps they will take better interest in her.

Katherine has a beautiful voice but IMHO it is more suited for lassical, opera, ballad not R&B and she needs to stick with her genre--follow Barbra Streisand (sp) --but leave R/B alone.
