07 Ninja 650R wheelie

how do you do that? I was practicing the other day, but never managed to get the bike up!!

Do you stay in first gear for a power wheelie? / Are you suppost to pull the bike up or it just goes up itself??

I Ride a 07 ninja-650 and i do power wheelies all the time starting around 4000-rpm.

@squarecnix I was Goin down hwy 82 in ms doin wheelies. was gettin good practice but when I wound 2nd gear higher than usual, I wasn't used to the high rpm powerband. it just found a sudden boost of power and went straight up and down on me

My 650r does this nicely at about 4000rpm then as it's up, shift quickly into 2nd and just go. Be careful tho Bc this past Sunday, 2nd gear threw me straight up and down at about 80mph. Got some nice road rash from it :/

@sealvonroretz No kidding... 650r and SV650 can both power wheelie on ACCIDENT. They bring the front up like it was designed just to ride wheelies.

that is a power wheelie, you dont need the clutch to do this

@joshs1ofakindxj rev to 6k, close and open throttle quickly and it will wheelie. my f4i will do that in 1st at 30-35mph. scary the first time i did that though. didnt mean to do it and certainly didnt expect it lol.

I got it up a foot or so twice.. I found out u absolutely can not have any weight on the bars. I tried like 30 times in a row in a regular riding stance and it only comes up in inches.. Then I tried rocking my weight backwards and it came up so much easier. Im still practicing though,, You really hve to rip the throttle.

I was just out on my 650r attempting to do some wheelies, but I just can't do it more than a couple inches off. I get around 5500 rpms, and throttle on quickly and not much happens. Do you cut the throttle quickly right before you apply the throttle?

Ive been trying to wheelie mine but none are as high as that. Mine dont really go very high, can you give me any advice? At what point do you keep the rpm's steady and then at what point do you crack it open?

If you're doing a power wheelie like I am then try twisting the throttle more and quicker when you're rolling in first gear at a certain RPM (not sure where it is for you). That's all I really do and once you get to the height you want you let off just slightly. It takes awhile to get the feel. Don't rush it.

I did remove the sub throttle plates and air box baffles. Definitely worth doing.

i just bought a 2006 ninja 650r for when winter is over here in canada, your telling me it will wheelie off of power alone? or did you have to pull up aswell.

just power. but be careful. go a little at a time. you want to rip into it and then SMOOTH out. dont just drop it down and wear out the front forks. but most importantly, a little throttle at a time.
