The 14th Amndmnt's current misinterp's based upon the presump. that the Wong Kim Ark ruling encompassed illegals. It didn't address children of illegal aliens & non-immigrant aliens, but determined allegiance for legal immigrant parents based on the meaning of domicil(e). Since it's inconceivable that alien parents could have legal domicile in the US, the ruling didn't extend birthright citizenship to children of alien parents.

Parents of these illegals have had more than enough time to become legal citizens and chose not to. Homeless shelters are filled to capacity, tent cities are rising. Millions of citizens are unemployed because of illegal immigrants. You can't just shove yourself to the front of the line and expect things to be handed to you on a silver plater. The Democrats need to expand their voter base. The Dream Act would grant green cards to millions of presently illegal immigrants. Although green card holders are not generally eligible to vote, it is up to each individual municipality. I wonder which party would the "new" voters cast ballots for. If the drafters of this bill was serious about helping those that are "American except for the paperwork", they would lower the affected age from 15 to 5. Instead the focus is on immediate votes.

We should remember that US already has the most liberal immigration policy of any developed country on the planet. We allow a quota of 1 million per year, this exceeds all of western Europe combined. Preference in law is rightly given in compassion to those in the greatest need and suffering the vilest of the human condition.

As I mention before already already the in the mainstream and in the streets people recognize the courage, pride and civic lesson of these kids, they are teaching us how to be a real US citizen and keep fighthinng even if you have all odds agains you. Dial your senator and tell them than support DREAM ACT. These students or even are graduate from highschool , are in college or are ready to serve in the army.

Country Pride packers said they couldn't find legal workers. After a raid costing them 70% of their workforce (2.3K illegals) US citizens asked for those jobs which paid Illegals $12/hr that normally paid $18-22/hr to US citizens. The citizens would have taken the $12/hr Some 5300 ppl applied for the now vacant jobs

None were hired. 5 months later the same plant was raided again with 782 illegals being caught for deportation.

The illegals get those jobs for one reason: cheap labor.
It is illegal for Americans to get paid less than $7.25 an hour (hence the term minimum wage). If an employer can get someone to do that job for less, they will.
And the only ones who can are illegals. They get those jobs.

America already has sensible Immigration policy. People that want to emigrate here go through an application process. 87% of illegals have a criminal record. Its ASS-Backwards to "Deport those with violent criminal records". I think we should deport all illegals with ANY criminal records, since theft seems to be every illegals side job.
