  • The cyclist ran a red light! I am a cyclist and that is wrong. I am not excusing the bus driver. She was very wrong as well.

  • I hope that bitch is in jail.

  • I don't have anything new to say; it's just that any form of censorship gets my attention; especially on what once upon a time was supposed to be a liberal and free platform. thanks for the clarification

  • All racial comments towards anyone will be deleted. why?

  • @kege1 Doesn't matter anymore, speak freely.

  • @kege1 speak your mind no problem

  • Yea why is the bus driver trying to race the bike .and that lady is saying the guy purposely got hit .she's dum as the driver .who is she was she the driver or that drivers lawyer.get a life.

  • i am a bus driver from Scotland and as far as what i can see this bus driver is totally at fault. As a professional bus driver you are supposed to give at least 2metre space when overtaking a cyclist.Common sense... the cyclist has not got eyes behind his/her head.

  • I'm a bus driver from Scotland, obvious that the driver is at fault. Not sure why the cyclist tried to hug the kerb, would recommend all cyclists take as much room as they need to ensure their safety. Many cyclists here are suicidal causing us a lot of problems, but that cyclist did very little wrong and would be welcome in front of my bus. I would give them the room they needed and at least when they are in front of us we can see clearly what they are doing and act accordingly.

    Please, all

  • lynx is the worst. I've had Lynx bus drivers almost sideswipe me. or honk at me when they're coming up behind me pulling up to a bus stop. Im in the bike lane where im supposed to be and they honk because I cant get out of their way fast enough. f all them s.o.b.s

  • bus driver is at fault. completely, i am a bus operator...not a bus driver

  • Fucking bus drivers always drive a little bit closer than normal to put pressure on the cyclist.

  • @HeleighnaDalney Riding in the State Of Florida, where this happened, riding a bicycle in a sidewalk is illegal .The law also allows bicyclist to take the whole lane (lane dominance) and requires drivers to steer clear 3 feet. In addition, where do you see the cyclist slowing down traffic when there is no traffic?

  • Bicyclist should understand that have limited use of a vehicle lane they can not slow the flow of traffic. and the bus shouldn't wait for him indefinitely. such and ample broad sidewalk that he could had use.... although the bus driver should had anticipated the cyclist lack of judgement and made adjustments to avoid a collision

  • @HeleighnaDalney Cyclists have complete and unlimited use of a lane.

  • @circusboy90210 Wow man you are one real dumb ass. Clearly you lack the skills needed in order to fully understand the English language.

"bicyclist who is not traveling at the same speed of other traffic must ride in a designated bike lane (see Bike Lane Law Explained) or as close as practicable to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway."

You clearly missed that last part. You know one thing I hate about Miami? It's full of dumb ass illiterate people like you.

    Come at me bro.

  • obviously theh rider is at fault , the law states if you are to use the motorway(intended for cars and trucks payed for by them) you must maintain speed with traffic. however knowing many militant cyclist I would not doubt the cyclist threw himself at the bus for a law suit. miami is full of people looking for money like that. only an idiot or courier would ride a bicyle downtown there.

  • If cyclist have the same rights as motorist fine. Then follow the laws of the road. This vid shows this ass going thru red lights, all over the road. The bus driver was wrong no question, but it's a shame motorist have to play the guessing game when a bike is around them.

  • if a bus drop me like that i will kill that mothafucka

  • i hate cyclists im a driver and i have nearly had so many crashes because of them. GET OFF THE ROAD and stop causing accidents.

  • @lilxmiget Perhaps if you learned how to actually drive...

  • @lilxmiget I'm a cyclist and I hate drivers, I wish they would all meet up and suck on each others exhaust pipe till they die, then the roads will be much safer.

  • @biker889 lmao i sorta thought the same, I know its not exactly easy to see where all of that buss is going but than she goes trying to act cool thinking all the passengers will back her up too, could've at least acknowledged the mistake

  • She thinks if she says it enough, everyone will do what she says. Piece of shit. All she is worried about is her own ass.

  • Great Channel!!

I Subed You If You Havent Plz Sub Back Lets Network!

  • She should be relieved of her driver's license permanently. She obviously isn't qualified to have one.

  • It never ceases to amaze me how some people will get so defensive as to make a complete ass out of themselves even when they are clearly in the wrong, as this video shows.

I bet the judge would have had more sympathy had she held the cyclist in her arms whilst screaming "For de love of God live! Live Damnit!".

  • I hope that bitch got fired. She wasn't even concerned if she had killed him. IF SHE HAD KILLED HIM. Just concerned for herself. She obviously has no conscience to worry about.

  • Fucking hell was that bus driver blind or something?!

I hope that poor cyclist is okay :o(

  • at fault bus driver 100%

  • did he died? he totally got owned by the bus.

  • @MKIsmaelKX Rofl. Looks like we got a morbidly obese hater here. Just because your "precious" car got hit by a 14 pound piece of aluminum doesn't mean you need to take out your anger on all the cyclist in general. I'm sure you are just hating on them because you know you don't have the stamina/willpower to even get your lazy ass outside and participate in a very physical sport. But oh wells. Just saying. :-]

  • @hypnotq22 For your info, I ride a bmx and I know how to protect my self from getting hurt or getting a driver involved in a accident. Body type? 157 wrestler you dick face.

  • @MKIsmaelKX Omg a BMX bike! WOW Everyone WATCH OUT for his 56 pound bike. Give me a break. Given the fact that you ride a BMX bike I am almost certain that you ride on the side walk. Which leads me to belive that the only thing you have to worry about is pedestrians. As a Road cyclist you constantly have to be on the defense. Especially in Miami where 80% of the drivers have NO idea what they're doing. Perhaps you should stick to wrestling. Go watch some Wrestling videos. Oh wells. :-]

  • @hypnotq22 How old are you? Long paragraph you typed huh. After seeing ho much you typed, I suggest you to get a life. Really bro.

  • @MKIsmaelKX How old am I? Old enough to reply with an educated response, old enough to know not to get mad at cyclist in general because one guy hit your precious car, Old enough to know that you're an ignorant asshole, and i'm also old enough to know that i'm not going to waste my time on you anymore. Have a nice life :-]

  • @hypnotq22 How about if you suck your own vagina... Its Youtube baby lol Im feeling good today, good night sweetheart kiss kiss :*

  • Looks and sounds like she was annoyed with the cyclist. I don't think she hit him on purpose though. Lord help her if she did do it purposefully!

  • Bus is wide as a lane and hazardous to cyclists. Keep reflectors on your bike and be visible. Do not race bus let it pass. Use headlight and tailight when cycling at night. I cycle and draft bus until bus goes 30 miles per hour and pulls away.

  • There was no excuse for the bus driver's behavior here.

That said, the cyclist could have prevented this problem by riding in the center of the lane. If you ride on the far right side of the lane, you're communicating to other drivers (including bus drivers) that it's OK to come right through in your lane. As this video shows, you shouldn't try to share the lane with a bus. Instead, get out there and make it clear that you're using the lane. It can save your life.

  • Oh no she di...n't.....

    Driver guilty of attempted murder!!

  • She wanted to hit him! She's probably racist!!!

The bus driver didn't even move an inch to make room for the cyclist.

She sounds so guilty. I hope she gets hit by a bus! Did he die?

I'd like to know if it was the same bus driver that tried to hit me on my bike.

  • Bus drivers are assholes. It was obvious from this footage that the bus didn't leave enough room - a small car's room.

  • Yeah stupid bus driver, blame the one you ran over!

  • preventable!! accident

  • Put her in jail. Simple as that. She sounds like OJ Simpson pleading. Guilty.

  • he did it on purpose? most people have a will to self preserve, throwing your several hundrend pound self and bike in front of a many tonne vehicle is stupid. most municipalities have a law saying you must leave a cyclist 3 feet of room when passing. I hope for the sake of of cyclists overwhere she was charged with dangerous driving.

and take the lane. It's called lane dominance and perfectly legal in most cities.

    Ride safe.

  • OK so she didn't care he was a human on a bike - it's simple - a bicycle is a vehicle and as such the bus wouldn't be allowed to squeeze through a lane and push a car or a motorcycle out of their lane...Come on, now!

  • Good God, did anybody help the cyclist?! it seems like everyone is just watching from a distance.

  • @firewithfire350

    that's miami-dade for ya.

  • The cyclist was riding too far to the right and should have taken the lane.

  • @fhussain44

I don't know.... it seems like your chances of getting in a catastrophic accident are lesser the farther to the right you ride.

  • @aha45 It might seem that way, but it's not true. Drivers are much less likely to see you or think about you when you're scrunched over to the side of the lane. That makes them more likely to hit you.

To stay safe, you shouldn't share the lane unless it's more than 14 feet wide (i.e., wide enough for you and a bus to operate safely side by side).

  • No shoulder? Take the lane.

  • Most state laws require vehicles to share the road with cyclists by giving them 3 feet clearance, she obviously did not. I'm a cyclist, obviously he did not try to hit the bus...why would he. The bus driver's should have been concerned about the injury cyclist and not whether she would be proved right or wrong. Shame on her.

  • Wow. What a shame. That bus driver has no conscience, I'm surprised that she even stopped. I'm glad that that the rider in Ok.

  • Poor guy. He was even being nice and letting the bus pass instead of taking the lane. She is what is known as a horrible person.

  • Bus driver seems to have a problem with the cyclist, because she honked at him for apparently being "in her way" and doesn't know the the rules of the road. While the cyclist was wrong to run the red lights, she was totally in the wrong for passing him too closely. She's just trying to justify herself. Then again, I'm only going by this video, and I wasn't there, so...

  • Thats right, you got the camera bi___. But don't worry, you won't be fired. This is something that you will have to live with for the rest of your life. You know what you did and it wasn't right.

  • @henryhelen09 I think she is still d

    driving

  • ABC 10 news reported the driver was never suspended. I wondered what kind of oversight they have, usually you get suspended pending investigation, i guess there was no investigation whatsoever!!!!!

  • As a cyclist, you can be either dead right or wrong. You will always lose.

  • Inside the bus is really noisy environment. He did it on purpose? People are trying to help the bicyclist but bus driver is blaming the rider... she is helping and she's not scared. Ya all could sit down. That's what I said. I got the camera. Bus driver tried to pass the rider and rider got hit when bus came in from left.

  • This is Miami Dade Transit OK? The driver wont be fired but given a promotion. This is they way it works Dont you people get it?!!

  • Just by the bus driver's nasty comments, and selfishness, she should be fired twice over. If somebody ran me over on my bike and only said "You was looking for an accident. " I'd be real tempted to smack the person hard.

  • Maybe they should make her ride a bicycle to work from now on. lol.

  • That is exactly why cyclists run lights. If you ride completely with traffic you are at the mercy of drivers like this.

  • @internal3m

Well, he ran the reds... and he got his. Follow the law and drivers will hate cyclists a little less.

  • @aha45 Right, because anytime someone does something you don't like, they deserve to be run over. What's it like having no morals?

  • @internal3m

Don't get your panties in a bunch. You said that this video shows why cyclists run reds. All I did was point out that this video shows a cyclist, running reds, and ultimately getting hit by a bus. So maybe.... running reds *isn't* wise. Because you can get hit by buses.

I don't understand why you reacted to my comment the way you did.

  • @aha45 What you sad was wrong. Not only that, it implied that it was OK to 'hate' and even injure others when they do something you don't like. Saying things like "he got his" is just uncalled for. And then it is kind of silly to expect cyclists to follow the law and only be hated "a little less."

As a cyclist, I get "my panties in a bunch" because people like you encourage others to casually and without thought take the lives of others in their hands. It's just plain wrong, and you know it.

  • i hope she gets fired, or at least hit by a car while crossing the road.

  • NBC Miami reports the cyclist is suing the county, and I guess it's the county who will go after this bus driver if he succeeds?

  • And if anyone has any info on her so we can flood MDT about getting her not primarily fired like I said earlier but at least of the road. Where she won't be able to have road rage over small things.

  • And even tho the biker did ran the red light, it still gives no right for the bus driver to run over the biker on purpose. And on top of that she doesn't go to see if the biker is OK. All shes concerned about is keep her passengers on board. It seems to me that the only reason she ran him over is because he ran the red light meaning he got in front of her. Which the biker rider did wrong but still she can't just run him over for that.

SHE SHOULD BE FIRED FOR THAT!!!...

  • Very professional driver. Never goes over to the cyclist, never asks if he's ok or apologizes. But, let's give her some credit here: she is thoughtful enough to inform her passengers, "I'm not nervous and I'm not scared".

Yes, as concerned citizens, I'm sure that was the first thing on all of their minds.

  • Coincidently, I had a similar experience a couple of years ago with a Miami-Dade Bus Driver that would cut me off forcing me to jump into the sidewalk a few times while I was riding my bike in a similar fashion as seen in this video (even after addressing the issue with the bus driver). It actually took place in the same exact location on Biscayne Blvd, just dragging a little longer until almost Flagler Street. Thereafter, I filed a complaint with the City.

  • The Bus Driver's behavior seen and heard in this video is simply INEXCUSABLE, IRRESPONSIBLE and UNACCEPTABLE. The bus driver deserves to be fired and banned from operating any other commercial vehicle for life.

  • Dumb fuck driver should be in jail. Sue the crap out of the assholes that hired her also.

  • Was the bus driver a Cuban?

  • The horn at the start is from the driver in the truck going the other way she cut off.

She was after that cyclist without a doubt.

  • While there's no doubt that the bus driver's behavior was inexcusable and criminal, let's also look at what the cyclist did. He unnecessarily passed the bus twice, which contributed to frustration on the bus driver's part. If he'd just let the bus stay ahead of him this crash wouldn't have happened.

  • @MBighk

That's great, except the bus stops are in the bike lane, so if you let a bus get the drop on you, you have to keep stopping behind it (or risk passing it on the left) every time it stops. Most of the time, if you pass a MDT bus, you have to haul ass to stay in front of it until it gets to its next stop, but once it stops, you never hear from it again. Let's thank god there is video evidence to prove the criminal behavior on behalf of the driver so this isn't a case of he said she said

  • @speedythecat

Point 1 -- the cyclist illegally crossed the stop bar and waited in the crosswalk when he passed the bus the first time

Point 2 -- the cyclist ran a red light to pass the bus the second time

Point 3 -- you can only control YOUR speed, not the speed of other drivers, so if you don't want another driver to pass you, the only sure way is to keep him in front of you

Point 4 -- there is no bike lane

  • @MBighk no bike lane, but he was still entitled to be on the road reagardless.

Driving on right side of roadway

    (Section 316.081, F.S.)

Upon all roadways of sufficient width, a vehicle shall be driven on the right half of the roadway.

def won't argue the fact he took the red light though lol

  • @inflekt

As someone who's been cycling for transportation and recreation for over 35 years (over 25 years in Florida) and with over 150,000 miles experience, I would never of course question a cyclist's right to the road. What I questioned were his own aggressive and illegal actions. As I noted in my first comment, the bus driver committed an unquestionably illegal act. But in many crashes both parties contribute to the problem. This is one of those cases.

  • @MBighk oh, I in no way was disagreeing with everything you said. just wanted to point out the one thing about there being no bike lanes. I agree with much of what you have said. I personally think both parties here are at fault. the cyclist alone should've known better to move out of the way from the buss considering how the driver herself was being aggressive (the horn honking shoud have been the cue imho).

  • @inflekt the cyclist did get caught unaware, but the driver clearly violated his lane. The driver also appeared to be driving in an aggressive and unsafe manner.

  • @MBighk seems to me the driver almost got him on that turn where the driver honked( and said "explicit" AH) , based on experience he had to break in the turn to let the bus pass by, he then pass the bus trough the left.

He ran for his life(second light) look closely the light to his right was already red(timing).

Not sure what you mean..anyway based on court documents he suffered multiple fractures on his right foot! ouch! hope he is ok Share the road!!!! Point 5 he is a very lucky MF!LOL

  • @MBighk those points are pointless!

  • @MBighk HUH??? Passing the bus twice contributed to the driver frustration? A cyclist must stay behind a bus at all times to avoid drivers frustration? REALLY???

  • @MBighk

  • @MBighk

    blaming the victim...

  • Doesn't the driver get it, how would a "person" want to throw themselves at a moving vehicle. Let alone a "BUS"!? I guess she forgot about the security cams..

  • That is disgusting and dangerously stupid arrogance.

With regard the honking at the start: I would say that is a clue as to the bus driver's aggressive attitude and places in context her similarly aggressive refusal to move the bus into the passing lane so as to avoid the dangerous area of 3 feet around the cyclist.

Fire the driver? That's a basic start. Taking her license is a fine follow-up. How about suing her, and charging her with assault. Jail time? Fine.

  • Are you serious?!!! That idiot should be fired!!! I can't believe she constantly repeats "He did that on purpose". The cyclist was riding over the white line! Unbelievable!!!

In the other hand, the cyclist is not stopping on red lights. Not very clever, in my opinion (particularly in Downtown Miami!)

  • 'He did that shit on purpose'? Real genius and such compassion for someone that could be dying. Fire that idiot.

And why the honk at the beginning of the video?

  • @cbmills

I'd have honked too, he filterin front of the bus at a red light.
