  • What's the point of censoring the word reefer, in a song whose major theme is drug selling? Moral crusaders tackle words people use rather than the problems they articulate with such words.

  • im from da chi and i fuck wit dis crack 74 all day

  • The first niggaz to rep da south and be proud of it,made me happy to be a southern boy

  • MAC TOWN 2:37

  • 35 people that disliked this are from up north, west coast and midwest....they dont know shit about the DIRTY SOUTH!!!!!!!!!

  • @813flawdaboy , LOL don't even try that chances are most people who disliked this is people who just don't know legit hip hop period! I'm from the south myself & most of my peers & some even older don't give a fuck about the southern pioneers on hip hop or they don't even know much about em at all! Alot of people in the south only care about the new south shit guccie, wayne, soulja boy, flo-rida, etc! The only southern pioneer of hip hop people still cling to these days is pimp c or kast maybe!

  • @sfknns yea you're exactly right...i think thats why people from up north, the west coast , etc. dislike the south 'cause the music thats out now...i personally hate it myself, i cant stand it...theres good underground southern artists who actually still make music like this

  • @813flawdaboy Dudes from up Norf fuck with this! This shit is real! The dislikes came from Justin Beiber fans!

  • They need to bring back THE BOX, and let us decide who is hot again

  • HAHAHAHA@Sippin on Cuervo Gold off in the club drunk as fuck

  • chi town bumped this too nicca

  • The only reason mainstream hip hop isn't great anymore is because that is what it is mainstream. I wish that people would actually make money and put out good art, but people have to make money. You make more money in the rap game by putting out music that is dumbed down. That's what the market wants and the only thing we can do is support artists that don't dumb down crap and not buy crappy albums that some guys put out.

  • Comment removed

  • @bigbass141 you're right...when rap music "crossed over" that's when it needed to be "dumbed down" because groups like G-MoB were too hood.

  • @bigbass141 u said it all right there ;)

  • @bigbass141 The market wants that because the people willing to spend the most money on music tend to be dumb kids who dont know better than that bullshit

  • Rap will never be this good..... Ever again.....

  • DURTY!

  • Free big boi!! Cee lo done sold his soul, became a sell out, but still got respect for the gee. Yeah he doin' his thing, but never forget ya potnas & where ya came from!!

  • I am sitting here trying to study for the AZ Bar Exam that is next week. After studying everyday for the last 2 1/2 months, at least 10 hours a day I have hit a wall. Don't want to study anymore. I decided to take a trip down memory lane by listening to a whole bunch of old-school hip hop I have loved, in order to reset my mind. I have not listened to this song in probably 15 years. After listening, my mind is now refreshed and ready to study the next five days. Made love to TRUE hip hop!

  • @darkyellowsky

    stfu

  • @d33pS3Ad1v3r, OK, I will just for you, because you seem too internet gangsta to say "no" to. Douche.

  • @darkyellowsky

    i said stfu faggot.

  • @d33pS3Ad1v3r i dont even know what this arguement is about but anybody who argues back with "stfu faggot" lost the arguement and got mad.

  • @rayallen0

telling a fag to stfu is not an argument, faggot.

and any faggot who doesn't know what an argument is about but get's involved anyway with the disclaimer that he doesn't know what the argument is about - is a morbidly obese down syndrome.

  • Some deep insight on the impact the war on drugs has had in the areas they're talking about.

  • Tru. In 20 years, tru rap hedz will still be krankin' dis album...

  • ~~ Classic ~~

  • I'm so fucking upset that very few people know about groups like Goodie Mob ever existed. Without them, many of the artists that are famous and popular right now wouldn't even be in the game.

  • @LAgame34 I agree a lot people don't know that these guys were huge influences for guys like T.I., Ludacris and Young Jeezy. This song to me is the first ever "Trap" song ever.

  • Comment removed

  • Interesting fun fact: The Southern rock/country band Drive-By Truckers admitted their 2004 album "The Dirty South" was named after the Goodie Mob song of the same name.

  • One of the greatest songs of all time!

  • Drinking beers in the yard by the fire. Yyyyyyyup

  • the dirty south .... atl ga

  • Goodie Mob, Outkast, UGK and Geto Boys imagine a song with all of them. or most of them. the legends of the dirty south.

  • I hate dope rap but this song doesnt sound like they made it to be cool. They are rapping about crime but at the same time they are not claiming its making them super rich. Still, I think it says something that Cee-lo and Dre 3000 arent on the song. I never heard either one speak on crime from this angle.

  • @nias1865 man thanks for pointing that out.. I was just about to post on how I feel like alot of people dont get the significance of this song. The drug trade in Atlanta has always been big... so crime & hustling is a way of life. You almost have to try to decode Cool Breeze's verse's to see what he really saying. This is the real "trap music" to me because the trap has always just been part of life down there. These rappers dont glorify and front like they had 50 birds they just tell a story.

  • Who the fuck would dislike this shit. Kill yo self.

  • Why did the guy throw up an illuminated symbol at 3:30

  • @InfamousPanther That is a "A" for Atlanta (A-town)

  • its funny you have people that hear that wack shit that comes from the south and look at all of us like we like that shit like we don't know whats real from fake it be the labels that wants to hear that the bubble gum south shit DUNGEON FAMILY and acts like that is what i fucks wit

  • It's amazing how such talented rappers can turn such a simple beat into a masterpiece.

  • Look here!!! I been looking at old school videos all night and there's always that very small percentage of people disliking these classic tracks. WTF??? Yall must be very young or have no idea what real hip hop is. This one in particular is a Southern Hip Hop Classic! Recognize and know what you're listening too. That BS they play on the radio now sucks!!!
