  • Ireland needs a Bull Mc Cabe now.

  • @kevfly21, There is another thing you should know, you fucking prick, before you call anybodys ancestors ignorant idiots for starving to death. The reason that people didn't fish the rivers or hunt wild animals is because the Landlords owned the land that these rivers and wild animals were on. In fact they owned the land that all the food was on including fruit.. The punishment for poaching and robbery was very harsh even fatal in those days. Here ends the history lesson. dick head.

  • @collectorhistory You are right, 4 years ago 2 blokes were convicted for fishing on the river blackwater. Co. Waterford. Near Lismore Castle. "Private river"

  • are these the same outsiders whom without ireland would be a shithole now.Without England to teach us the new ways of farming agriculture building we would be nuthing they did us a favore over the years they took over ireland

  • @theadizo

    yeh guman sap

  • thats so retarded learn some history please

  • @daveeol i have done my history im 16 and Ireland would not be as developed without the english taking over a huge amount of our exports wen't to England when ww2 erupted Ireland was in trouble as exports stoped and supply's ran low. I hate the way irish people are so proud of their language and that we ran the British out we wear rules for Hundreds of years before that!

  • @theadizo wow.ya give me exports to england because i love murder ,bloodshed ,slavery famine and the death of celtic culture and language.are you from dublin by any chance?

  • @theadizo Fair play to you... Most people are afraid or too ignorant to come to terms with the truth!!! And an excess of patriotism is xenephobia..... And did the idiots not know that we can eat other things besides potatoes ???

Like fish in the rivers, and the sea... wild animals.... fruit, berries, wheat etc. etc. It was ignorance that killed them, not a famine!!!

  • @theadizo we had our own civilization and culture before the english came. the english presence resulted in over 800 years of bloodshed, rape and murder. The effects of anti catholic laws were still present in the north up to the good friday agreement in 1998.

the english in fact did little to develop our country outside of Dublin and Belfast, we only became a fully industrialised nation after WWII. we were merely a colony whose resources and riches were sent back to England.

  • The Bull will be turning in his grave for the outsiders are here!! The IMF. We need him and his kind to drive the government out!!!

  • protes-ant heretics. without the land we would all be liberals and protest-ants

  • man, the look he gets at :43 secs. it's like, aw fock, here we go again, dealing with these bastard outsiders...

  • your the bull your the bull your the bull...thats your father tadgh

  • outsiders........ love it

  • Did ye know this was a famous play before it was a movie? Badass night at the Abbey Theater!

  • Yes i did! I heard that Harris was only supposed to play a smaller role in this movie, but then the actor was going to play The Bull actually died. Who was the other actor??

  • Richard Harris was supposed to play the role of the priest. He flew Jim Sheridan to his home to get the part and showed him the beard & hair to which Sheridan seen that Harris was the man for the job - thank God!

    RIP Dickie.

  • @Mikosyko Eamon Keane (the playwrites brother). Harris wore Eamons hat through the entire film.

  • The famine and Irish suffering needs more media exposure and a proper film made.

  • "No outsider will bid for my field" Bull McCabe
