@xVeNoMzHD the easiest answer to that question is the microphone is going to capture whatever youre hearing. so if you hear a bunch of echos and reverb coming from your volcalist because you dont have sound proofing, you can bet the mic will pick those echos. Now if you have a nice sounding room in your house where things dont echo or there is carpet then ide recomend you save your money and record in there. Studio sound proofing can be ignored if your studio doesnt sound too bad.
@guitarbasslover ok ima sound like a stupid ass noob sayin this but im in my basement, and its very quiet. no echos or anything and has carpet on floor. but room is big but it shouldnt be a problem if theyre is no echo right? thanks
@xVeNoMzHD yeah it sounds like maybe a finished basement which would account for a nicer room setting. carpet, drywall, drop ceilings, and objects in the basement if they are softer like boxes or wood will soak up the echos

What a way of meeting people and get to see their talent. At first was reluctant being on youtube, but getting to do this has brought me into the houses of some very special people. You are one of them. Life; isn't it wonderful!
Keep up the good work. Hope You Are Having A Splendid Day!
@YungPhresh2010 One of my biggest secret weapons is my Neve 5012 Mic Preamp. A mic with out a preamp is like a subwooker without an amp. It may work ok but you wont get the detail. I use ver expensive preamps and compressors. I would go on google and shop around for an ART PREAMP. these preamps are low cost and good for home recprding. Overall the MXL 4000 is a great mic and I would recommend you buy it if youre looking for a good low cost high detail microphone.
this dope ima get my MXL 4000 soon cant wait to try it
