If I was a Junco I would be honored. Yes, the subject of this song is the Dark-eyed Junco. (Junco hymalis) also known collectively as a "Snowbird" as they arrive further south with the first snow of the season. They breed in the boreal forests of the Northern US and Canada. They are small 5 in sparrows that are common feeder patrons during the winter months. Males are slate gray with a white breast and white outer tail feathers. Female plumage is more subdued.

Hiya Star: I suppose it was a different era back then; being openly gay could have possibly been the death knell for her career. However, I don't see why she can't be openly gay now - after all, it is 2009; I don't think she would lose too many fans. Perhaps some of the ultra-religious types, but most normal people don't care. Maybe she's trying to protect her kids - who knows?

Anne is now retired from the music business. Her album, I'll Be Seeing You was supposed to be her swan song album, however Capitol convinced her to do a Duets album. She says the Duets album is her last and she is now retired.

yep, they definitely glammed annie up after the reaction from the likes of this vid. always amazes me that people were so afraid that a maybe (secret) part of her life would be revealed. so they covered it up really well with her husband, a marriage, subsequent children, and denial, denial, denial, denial, after denial after denial. she was spotted in women's bars, she was tagged 'gay' by the folks that lived around her, but protected her from the nasty press.
