Wonderful idea! I have been teaching the children their name through the circle your name song and they love it. I have trouble with them sitting in one spot though so this will be great! Thanks so much for sharing. :)

I have to emphasize to you all- this idea really works in the classroom, we have had great success with it and the kids love it too! It continues to be one of our best programs we've implemented into our routine, hope you've tried it also.

Critical to an effective and educational circle time, is that children are there willingly because it is interesting and fun for them. If they don't want to participate in circle time, it is best to let them wander off. If they don't want to be there, that means that they are not learning from the experience and will only be disruptive. We nneed to recognize tha circle time is not developmentally appropriate for many children due to age or maturity.

Great routine idea! Simple instructions for an adult could be overwhelming for kids, especially in the primary. Thanks for sharing!

This is a simple but great idea. I especially like the technique of putting the stamp on only the TOP of the name card to keep the children from viewing their names upside down.

I have a child safety program that we presented to the State House here - the School budget director in the Legislature says we have a great idea, as well as the Governors educational liaison saying we have a very good idea.
I would like to talk to you about developmental arenas for this program if you like.
