If you'd do a little research on the matter you would see that harvesting is the main reason most big game animals in Africa, and most the world, have made such a good comeback. These animals get hand fed from birth and have no fear for humans, thats the ONLY way you can come that close to a buffalo which is one of Africa's most dangerous animals. Hunting cape buffalos with a bow is more dangerous than hunting lions because lions attack when provoked, cape buffalos attack because you're there. Besides the hunters take a portion of meat and the natives get the rest. Nothing goes to waste in Africa. Also when a cape buffalo is down, it is wise to shoot again before you approach if you want to live to tell about the hunt.

Cape buffalo are one of the most dangerous animals walking this earth. To take one with a bow (even a wheely bow 8^0 ) is a great accomplishment.

considering buffalo are one of africa's top killers to humans if not the number 1 which why it is apart of the big 5. people who have not ever hunted need to either not watch hunting or keep the opinions to their fucking selves.
