I have this really bad habit of having the third finger placed on the ferel(sp) or silver part of the bow. It could be how the bow was made or how I was taught. I have a Sobol bow (Russian bow). Is this normal? Thanks again for the video.

Hi, I am buying a cello for 'fun' next week. I am 60. watched 4 of your down to earth vids and am encouraged ! I plan on having some lessons but would like to learn by ear as much as possible . I can read music . Cello is [$1300 US ] but as I have never played it seems a sensible price from a reputable luthier in Melbourne.I live on a small self-sufficient farm near Warragul , an hour from the city. Why dont you come over and teach me? Free room and board.I will watch more of you later!
