Ok like my comment. There is a much easier way to do this. Your supposed to get all the blocks in the middle. You cannot place 1 block under another block. So if you move the 1stblock to the last column you cant place the second block under it. You cant place the third under the second. You can place blocks on top of eachother. Do this until you have moved all the blocks to the middle. Its called the hanoi puzzle.

The funny thing is that it actually has a simple recursive solution. However, I think it takes theta(2^N) time to solve using the recursive algorithm so I don't think it's exactly the fastest solution out there.

The way it seems to work is you can't move a cell to a column with a cell already in place above it in that column. The top cell has free roam because a cell can't be above it. I watched the video but I still struggled a lil bit because I just watched it one time and then went back at it for a few minutes, then the pattern made sense.

@vabyss78 Surely you are joking ? The content of the first mass effect is clearly larger than the second, as it initiate the player to all aspect of the universe. Military, politically, economically there are mentions of thos situation everywhere.

As Mass effect 2 is more centered around actions there is much less content npc wise, the story is more direct and simple (although still quite large). And the game can easily be told in a few words :

"You got revived, assemble a team, do the mission"

@Yemetha Actually I have grown much more fond of the first game since then. The combat was frustrating the hell out of me at first. I died over and over because I was so used to ME 2. There are no headshots, in fact the aiming is still pretty horrible, even though I really like the game now. I was just so frustrated by the time I got to this puzzle I was nearly over the game. Love it now though. Played through twice, and I do believe there is more content and I miss the RPG elements.

@vabyss78 Well, the good news is that the last trailer of Mass Effect 3 have a programmer of the game saying they will "give back" some of the rpg elements that were taken out in mass effect 2.

Although, maybe you've seen the difference between Dragon age: Origins and Dragon age II. That's the symbol of my fears at the moment.

This puzzle reminds me of the computer pillar puzzle from the tomb of Naga Sadow on Knights of the Old Republic. Like you can only move certain pieces to certain places if certain conditions are met.

@789123456789 Well, i actually think it's more easy than we thought. It seems the puzzle is to take the lower parts first into your selected final core. If you look correctly he moves the pieces around in order to be able to complete it in this specific way.

If you're going to put a puzzle in your game, you need to explain what you have to do, and how you achieve it. All it says is "do it"...but, how exactly do I do that? How do I move the pieces? What will happen to them?

The blue "stones" are on core 1. But Core 1 is damaged. So the goal is to move all stones either to core 2 or core 3. But you can only move the uppest one. So you have to move it around until you get to the last one on core 1 and move it to either core 2 or core 3 and then add all other blue stones starting from the bottom on that lowest blue stone on core 2 or 3. That's all. I got it after 10minutes. People with average IQ should get it also. It's like a puzzle for kids.
