  • How could you possibly do a Scream review without mentioning how fantastic Skeet Ulrich was? And also how you end up punching yourself in the face for not figuring out who the killer (or killers) were after watching the film a second time?

  • he should of kept his really voise

  • This is the first horror film i have ever seen (i have seen it at age of 5) and it scarred me for life.

  • @Tiberiusize why at 5 ??

  • @kyezer96

In our country there is no age limit to go to any film in the cinema. And i went with my sister.

  • @Tiberiusize fair enough what country is it? :L

  • @kyezer96

Slovenia. Bet you never heard of it, except if you were watching the world cup last year.

  • @Tiberiusize heard of it but just dont know alot about it :D

  • scream is my number 1 favorit horrorfilm:) Wes craven rules!!!!

  • @Lui123ist Wes Craven does rule!

  • do cigs count as drugs?

  • omg i love the part where The killer was in the kitchen and he's like did u really call the cops? Sidney: Bet my ass I did. Killer: My mom and dad are gona be so mad at me!! LOL

  • Some ole bullshit.

  • Um, they weren't watching Halloween at the party. It was Prom Night I believe.

  • @BlubberyxXxMuffins It was Halloween. Watch the movie and they even say and show it.

  • @BlubberyxXxMuffins

They were watching Halloween. They even show the TV several times.

  • great review scream to me is a 5 out of 5

  • i only like the 1st one

  • Who cares what you think. There are no 'rules' in horror movies. John Carpenter said so. I think he knows a little more about it than the nobody who wrote scream, which is nothing more than a Halloween rip off.

  • @FirestarterThe actually kevin williamson worked on some pretty big projects hes not a nobody and scream is not a halloween ripoff they r both great movies scream is a movie that knows everything thing that happens in a horror movie everybody who has sex or drinks gets killed they hear somthing and say whose there and its true but its a film that praises other horror films and i think thats great u dont have 2 like it but its not a ripoff

  • @FirestarterThe, lol, if you mean a rip off of the movie "Halloween" then you're totally wrong. Billy and Stu aren't invinsible, which I like because it makes it so this could REALLY happen in real life. I love the Halloween series but Scream's one of my favorites, too. Also, Scream was the last good original movie, unlike the shit we have today. You can barely find any good ones these days. Watch the movie. If you have, you have your opinion.

  • @FirestarterThe There are no 'rules' in horror movies? Maybe so, but there are definitely cliches, which is basically what the 'rules' are supposed to be. Perhaps you're too young to understand.

And how the hell is Scream a Halloween ripoff? Aside from having a killer picking off teenagers, which you can make the connection to a 1000 other horror movies as well, they are nothing alike.

  • i have the trilogy

  • Did anyone hear when casey was picking the videotape off the tv one of the nightmare on elm street themes?

  • @nightmareonelmstree1 i didnt notice that till you pointed it out!Kudos.

  • @westside159 No it wasn't. Final Destination was.

  • @westside159 No it wasn't. The original Final Destination was.

  • What do you think of Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects? or the remakes to Last House and Hills?

  • It helped bridge horror films into slasher territory. It helped transition horror movies from being movies like Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolfman to movies like A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, and Halloween.

  • Has anyone seen The Last House on The Left and Hills Have Eyes? i think those are better Craven movies. Even Rob Zombie himself hates Scream as he called it nothing but trendy teengirl PC crap and he decided to bring back the gritty 70's and 80's style horror flicks with "House of 1000 Corpses" and "Devil's Rejects".

  • Scream was an innovative, clever, funny and suspenseful film that acknowledged, avoided and exploited the well known cliches of the slasher sub genre. What do you mean EVEN Rob Zombie hates it? Like he's some kind of idol? His films suck. Halloween (2007) was an insult. There's nothing clever about his films. You summed it up perfectly; 'he decided to bring back the gritty 70's and 80's style horror flicks' - yeah. He copied. Not an original bone in his body. You worship a hack ;)

  • Have you seen Craven's Last House on The Left and Hills Have Eyes?

  • Care to explain why you think it wasn't? This should be interesting :)

  • @dreambabe100 Yes, it was innovative because this time the killer(s) weren't invinsible. It makes it so this could really happen if someone was as sick minded as Billy and Stu. Watch it, then comment.

  • What about films like Hostel and stuff? these films were not cute and tounge in cheek, they were raw tough and went to the jugular.

  • I agree, although Devil's Rejects was pretty good. Concerning Hostel and Saw, I can understand while some find the 'raw' elements to be better horror, but I don't think having lots of graphic violence makes good film. Look at the original Halloween, there's hardly any gore in it at all--it's not "raw". Yet it's one of the best horror films of all time. While Scream isn't quite in that league, it's clever dialogue and in-jokes make it unique and a nice change of pace for most slasher films.

  • Which scream movie is best?

  • the first one

  • The first,

but personally number 3 is pretty good,

not many people like it but it has a great twist,

once you see the first scream and you get over the fear of what you have been told you get right into the movies and cant hep but watch after each other

  • 1st or 3rd

  • I couldn't agree more with Sidney.

There are things that are insulting.

This video is one of them.

  • DREW BARRYMORE...MY LOVE!

back in hyskul, we always follow the lines in this movie...esp, "i'd like to see what your insides look like" , " coz id like to know who im lookin at" and "you hang up on me again, ill cut you like a fish". AFTER WATCHING THIS ON VHS WITH MY FRIENDS (boys and girls) i would always chase my friends at school with a plastic knife! we always inject Scream in our lives even in our classroom skit in English grammar class.

  • "jamie kennedy at his finest"

    hahahahahahahahaha!

    this guy.. i tell ya.

  • crap no nudity lol

  • i must say, the original scream was a wes craven masterpiece, he re-designed the idea of slasher films, he pointed out the reasons why slasher films were no longer scary by 96. he made a slasher film that scared people, something that hadnt been done in many years, much props to wes craven for scream1!

  • !!!!!!!! awesome !!!!!!

  • um.

    chill dude.

i dont like it.. does that offend you?

  • yes, cuz im a HUGE fan of scream but im sorry for sayin that i overreacted but still scream ROCKS

  • scream rocks so shut the fuck up you have no idea what your talking about

  • does it matter?

  • The Scream Trilogy is THE BEST trilogy in horror! It's like real terror. Something that could ACTUALLY happen 2 u. That's what really scared me. It was all around a AWESOME movie!!!

  • it's not horror!

  • !!!!!!!!! see xAxiom720x this person knows what hes talkin bout!!

  • omg just shut up please u just kept talking on and on really slowy. i hope u talk faster in the other reviews!

  • you gave scream 4 1/2 while gave dawn of the dead 3 and night 2? your insane. you should actual die, in some way. like boiled in acid.

well i guess you are just some young kid.

  • id say 10

  • who cares how old he is?

  • if you listen closeley at 00:14 00:31, you can hear the "Nightmare on Elm Street" Theme

Also another movie by Wes Craven

  • Lol

    I just noticed that,

    :DDD

  • Scream is a masterpiece.

But the reason it is has nothing to do with "the rules" of horror. It's actually about people thinking they "know" the horror genre, then they're put in a horror movie and we see that they don't know anything.

Neve Campbell's character says horror movies are all about killers and big-breasted girls. So, what happens to her? She gets stalked. She insulted women who are chased by killers. So, she's insulting herself without knowing she's being chased by a killer.

  • this is so cool

  • Love it!!!
