  • PING! Wait, no? That doesn't happen with this model?

    crap.

  • in my personal opinion the m2 carabine is better than a m14....

  • i had not idea the M2 went full auto

  • Sweet little thing.

  • Did anyone notice that the magazine is not that tightly at place.

  • Does the mag shake back and forth like that or am I just seeing things?

  • @Travis94ZX not just the whole mag shakes back and forth, but the entire gun yaws and what you are seeing is the magazine shake with the gun. It looks like the mag is moving more because its long and sticks out the bottom of the firearm vertically. The firearm yaws naturally in because the bullet is being forced down the barrel through spiral rifling, and the bolt twists to come out of the locking lugs. You can really see it in high speed video - even semi autos do this, just 1 shot at a time

  • @oldsrocketscientist I can see it! It's like the entire weapon is made of rubber or something similar!

  • Goddamn... that's sexy.

  • Fantasmic vid, I especially love the slow-mo. It looks like a very smooth firing weapon, and I'm trying to learn more about it. Apparently Canadians like to trade in their Stens for these during the Korean War. I can see why!

  • @CanadianGuerrilla I prefer the Sten over the Carbine, it is simple & easy to use effectively. One of the weak spots in the Carbine is the full auto conversion. The "# 9" spring is a royal P.I.T.A.!! The selector lever always pops back into semi auto when i shoot it, and i even had the "# 9" spring pop out of the gun and fall out of the gun while shooting. Granted, the parts were made in WW2, & tolerance stacking & all that but still, i hate it!! The Carbine is also more choppy than the Sten.

  • @oldsrocketscientist

Fair enough. Both have got their pros and cons. The Sten would be more accurate and probably a little more reliable, but I bet that .30 punch really meant something on raids and if the Chinese got inside the wire. Of course, the 81mm mortar was used more for the latter. Anyways, to each his own eh?

  • @CanadianGuerrilla yep! strictly my personal opinion only. If i had to choose a gun based on the ammo it would be the 30. I just do not like the conversion to full auto on the 30, it could have been designed much better. i shoot a submachinegun match occasionally, and from a shooting standpoint, the sten is much easier to control on full automatic because it has a lower rate of fire which means more hits and less ammo waste. in the reliability dept. the sten has less moving parts to break.

  • Very nice video, thanks for taking the time to share it!

This carbines remind me of boxers (dogs), people either have no use for them or love them dearly. I love M1 Carbines for what they are... and boxers too.

  • @oldsrocketscientist what makes it an M2 is that it is full auto

  • @godzilla1463 yes, when the M1 Carbine has a full auto trigger pack inserted into it, it becomes a M2 Carbine, and when it has a semi auto trigger pack inserted into it, it is simply a M1 Carbine

  • is that the french version used in veitnam?

  • @scotty2k251 Nope, that is a U.S. Carbine dropped into a M1a1 paratrooper stock. It was refurbed and had the adjustable rear sight installed to it so i believe that makes it an M2a2 technically.

  • what round is the m2 chambered in?

  • @Fox2146 30 Carbine

  • @oldsrocketscientist why didnt they make them full auto in ww2?

  • @MAKER6450 Actually technically they did. The prototypes were labeled as the "T4 Carbine" and tested during 1944. It was formally approved on September 14th 1944. A kit consisting of the parts necessary to swap M1 carbines over to M2 configuration were issued to units as "Kit T17" and all existing M1, M1a1, &M1a3 were classified as "limited standard" Per the book "War Baby" page 241. And since Japan formally surrendered on the Missouri on 9/02/1945, then M2 Carbine was made in ww2.

  • @SmithSlam wow, I've never been last before :D

  • @targetdrone13 you're still not last lol.

  • lol nice vid
