How To Understand (and Create) A Personal Financial Statemen

Question: Wells fargo is my bank and when I try to download transaction history it gives me the accounts: Checking, Savings, and Credit. In this example, are your expenses taken out of your checking account, cash, credit or all three. And if I am paying off my credit card debt where will I put it in the income statement? If anyone can answer my question I would really appreciate it.
