(That old 'Ravenous' comment by 'Celtic Fist' is actually a compliment since the music in the film is so unique and atmospheric. It is a gruesome film but the music throughout is not about what the people are doing, but about the mountains.)

i really enjoy your performances here--voice, lyrics your casimir pulaski day cover will always be one of my favorites though i do enjoy your originals most. i love the chorus, and yes, i sense some sufjan, but that's not what is most important. i like the consistency of nature imagery. maybe more? im glad there's more imagery in these lyrics. in the fifth quatrain, you could include a resonant image to see better as there's none now.

In all reality, I'm 100 percent serious in saying that was the most beautiful song I've heard all year.

Maybe later I might want to know the meaning and full reason for the lyrics, but not yet. I'd rather take them in and reflect upon them in my own thoughts. It really is a wonderful song, with beautiful lyrics.
