the greek lyrics are in idiomatic language, regional dialect of the Dodecanese. This proves that it is a traditional Greek song. Also its sea theme. The Turkish version is a literal translation. The song is from the island of Kos / istankoy. But this is not important, our music is same anyway

Gorgeous! I like this version better than the Greek versions I have heard here on YouTube -- not that they're bad; they are very beautiful. It's the instrumental arrangement and the sound of the Turkish language, I guess, that attracts my American ear so much to this version. Very nice!
