Uh, excuse me but the term "gay boys" is no more derogatory than terms such as "African Americans." It wasn't the straight population that gave gays that label, it was the homosexuals themselves who coined the word as applicable to their life style. So the whole point of the song is supposed to be that they all want her but she doesn't want them. Because these mime guys are gay, they completely miss the purpose of the song. OK dip? I thought I was criticizing the video's directorial use of the "gay boys" as not in keeping with the sexual tension that heterosexual men could have portrayed much more accurately next to Brigitte. Peter Cook. If he was gay, did not portray gay in his version of the movie or this song, for which he wrote the lyrics. That is why his version works and this does not. There is a time and a place for gay humor and Brigitte's version of the song is not it. What I am is a degree in voice with lots of theater experience and a d___ good, astute, critic.
