  • "Don't get excited .... too much effort " . Wow , what amazing 'sexual politics' {tease/domination } from the beautiful&alluring " And God created women " Brigette.

  • Haha, I actually thought this was the Bad Seeds at first glance. Nice video man.

  • This clip of Brigitte works well with the song - although I bet she wishes it no longer existed, with her wearing a fur coat, as she later became a strong advocate of animal protection.

  • hahahah great combination haha

  • I like Dud's version better

  • Great song, lousy version. Those gay boys have no interest in Brigitte at all. the lip, or should I say limp sinking sucks. Only Peter Cook from the 1967 movie Bedazzled can do pull this song off with any credibility. Ship wreck. Sorry, bad cover.

  • "Those gay boys"- this words of yours says everything about your critique ...

If only all closed minds came with closed mouths

  • Uh, excuse me but the term "gay boys" is no more derogatory than terms such as "African Americans." It wasn't the straight population that gave gays that label, it was the homosexuals themselves who coined the word as applicable to their life style. So the whole point of the song is supposed to be that they all want her but she doesn't want them. Because these mime guys are gay, they completely miss the purpose of the song. OK dip? My critique is a real critique, right on the money, honey.

  • anyway...those guys are noy gays, why you say that?

i saw the video you talked about (Peter Cook from the 1967 movie) and i like it :) But Nick Cave's version is better.

You said it was fun to see, i´m glad cause I made this video just for fun and just to be funny.

  • I'll try to see the original. No offense was intended. I's all good. Thanks again!

  • Not only are you homophobic, but you're also patronising. Calling people gay boys is not exactly a critique. It's the words of someone who has nothing constructive to say and wants to insult like a child in a playground.

  • REPEAT: see my comment above in defense of the word "gay." It is not patronizing, it is the word the gays use to describe themselves. My original observation still holds: That those gay boys would never realistically be oggling Brigitte. Imitating, emulating, yes. What would a fop want with a beautiful sexy girl? You see, I am right. Just an observation. Who could be homophobic about ineffectualness? Ha Ha I'm right.

  • No, you patronised bbdejavu. bbdejavu is not your honey. Gay boys can call themselves gay boys, that does not give you the right to use the phrase to criticise someone. The fact that you have to bring gay into this, is probably the fact that you need to find the key to the closet door. Don't you, honey???

  • Awwh, calling me honey is sweet. I am not a gay boy, I am a mother of 6. I did not realize that I was criticizing the "gay boys" by using the term. I thought I was criticizing the video's directorial use of the "gay boys" as not in keeping with the sexual tension that heterosexual men could have portrayed much more accurately next to Brigitte. Did you think that the the "boys" really seemed interested in Brigitte in this video? I thought they looked silly.

  • The Peter Cook original in the origianl Bedazzled movie portrayed the sexual tension much more realistically and humurously, in a way we could all identify with. I am right honey.

  • what you are is hideously arrogant

  • Why thank you honey. you must be Badazzled. After rewatching Brigitte and her "gay boys" I can truely guess well that you must be one of them. As she said of them, " I don't want you. I don't need you. I don't love you. You make me sick. Just go away. Leave me alone. Don't get excited. Save your breath. It's too much effort". Man, just like her, now I have to say it too. Yikes. Hah ha ah ha hah. YOUR BEDAZZLED. Yes, I'm arrogant now you little sissy breath. hahahah alhahahah

  • First of all, it's truly, not truely. Learn to spell please. And I am female. Peter Cook was gay - this is a fact, so you can stop prattling on about him. You have shown yourself to be a hateful, repulsive small minded human being who does not care for other people. Keep on opening that big fat ugly mouth of yours and continue to show the world who you really are. You're probably a racist as a well as a homophobe. Love and understanding mean nothing to you.

  • Peter Cook. If he was gay, did not portray gay in his version of the movie or this song, for which he wrote the lyrics. That is why his version works and this does not. There is a time and a place for gay humor and Brigitte's version of the song is not it. What I am is a degree in voice with lots of theater experience and a d___ good, astute, critic. You should not have turned this into a homophope forum. There's the pity poor girl. My comments were never about that. But tha's all you see ;(

  • You introduced the homophobia with your ridiculous remarks, no one else. You have not critiqued, just criticised. As a bored suburban housewife 'critic', you should know the difference. Now go and do some dishes!

  • You are an IDIOT

  • And you mistook your pathetic opinion with critique.

  • You obviously haven't even seen the video. The boyz can't even lip sinc to the words of the chorus. They just make chewing faces. Dare I say it? That is so GAY. Is that what you think I've said all along.? It is not what I've said. And you are a stalker. By the way, where is your critique? Or are you just too busy with bashing me. I notice no critique from you. Just bashing of me. What is that? At least I can talk about the video.

  • You seem to have no opinion of the video at all. I guess your're just too preoccupied with bashing me. You haven't even spoken of the video once. Have you even watched it? Don't pretend someone is a gay basher when they're not. I wouldn't have even said "that is so gay " if you hadn't layed into me like that. If my opion is pathetic, where is yours. You don't even have one. You are the pathetic one. And you are a stalker. I will tell the U toob police if this keeps up.

  • Oh yes, I guess I did.

  • At least I have a pathetic opinion (about the video). You only have an opion about me. You are obsessed. You are the one who is ugly. I could say good things about the video as well, for bbdejavu's sake but after encountering you, why should I. bbdejavu shoul shut this whole thing down. This is not a forum for bashing anyone. It is about the video.

  • Bashiush:

Thank you for the support, this person (impossiblyLost) is a Troll, don't feed the Troll ;)

  • bbdejavu: I love what you do with the songs and the old films, it's amazing! I have so many of your works of art in my favourites! And I never heard the Nick Cave version before. Gros bisous mignonne!

  • Thank you so much Bashiush! :)

  • @Bashiush peter cook's wives and female sexual partners may have something to say to the idea that he was gay

  • ImpossiblyLost:

You are a pain in the ass! You're bloqued!

  • But who could not like Brigitte anyway. Come on, She's so cute. OK bbdejavu? But those "gay boys" arn't exactly kick ass are they? Never-the -less, thanks for posting. Fun to see.

  • You completely spoil wonderful original version. Why you like distraction?

  • It´s not a case of liking distraction, the case is that I LOVE FREEDOM! :)

  • BB + NIck is so fantastic!

  • Je prefère la version originale. (Stanislas).

  • I simply love this song! :)

  • Gostava de poder avaliar, com 5***** mas esta porcaria não está a dar!

Se calhar é o meu preferido! .... Fantastic!
