  • Kate is gorgeous in this :p. . . .

  • the white horse is Ian Holm right? Bilbo? xx

  • They shouldn't have cut the scene with the lion and the unicorn- especially as

it meant they just randomly had the plum cake dish there. I suppose they cut that out so they could fit the wasp scene in.

  • why is the red knight grabbing his crotch after falling from the horse when he fell on his bum?

  • I just finished the book this week, and found this. It's delightful -- a very faithful adaptation of the Carroll book (despite the missing fawn, lion & unicorn, sheep in the boat -- my favourite scene, though). Gorgeous colours and cinematography. (Red Knight is hot, too.). Thanks for uploading!

  • wat!? no lion!? no unicorn!?

  • the white knight is bilbo baggins in "the lord of the rings" movies : ]

  • omg that Alice is so sexxxxxy

  • Somehow I keep expecting the White Knight to pull out a pipe and start smoking Longbottom Leaf =)

  • why is everyone falling off horses???????????

  • @ladyzsgolla read the book before you ask such a question

  • @Yodovannn it really wasn't a question it was more of laughing shock, i got iot and all but i do that kinda stuff, sorry if i made you angry

  • I've never figured out why people think the Alice books are so dark, they're just plain fun, not dark at all really.

  • yeah he's fantastic

  • call that a whisper? you do such a thing again and i'll have you buttered.

  • ian holm and his codpiece. epic ;-)

  • @Tparker96 No The first book was called Alice's adventures in Wonderland, This is Alice Through the Looking Glass, This is the looking glass world, and the reason she doesn't recognise people is because this is the first time sh'e met them, the animated film combined elements of both books, tweedle dum and dee and the flowers were originally in looking glass, not Wonderland. Hope that helps, even though you posted this 3 months ago :D

  • Is it me or is the Red Knight fit..?

  • he is ;]

  • Lewis Carroll wrote two books about Alice. The first of those was 'Alices adventures in Wonderland', which takes place in, obviously, Wonderland. The second one, the book this movie is based on, takes place in Looking Glass Land.

I hope that clears matters up.

    -Cheers

  • They were only in Wonderland in the Disney movie. In the actual book, they are not there.

This movie is, obviously, based on the book.

  • alice in wonderland is book one, through the looking glass is book two (set 6 months after alice in wonderland i think)

however alice seems to not recognise Hatter or Heir.

  • Aaaaw, I feel sorry for the White Knight. He keeps falling off but still persists.

  • Why is Hair transparent?

  • i do hope you havent broken any bones

    none to speak of

    rofl

  • Huh? They don't have the scene with the Lion and the Unicorn. That's odd - because it's mentioned in the film a couple times. Maybe it was a deleted scene?

  • Yes, that's one of the biggest pieces of criticism this movie usually receives. They mention that they're going to see the Lion and the Unicorn, and then Alice just... wanders off.

  • @Spyritus well, little kids often have short attenton spans. SO alice forgot?

  • I don't mind it too much myself. It's my least favourite part.

Then again, it would have made better sense to keep it and don't put the Wasp in the Wig back in. All in all minor, this is by quite far my favourite Alice adaptation (then the 1933 version, quite below).

It's just perfect, the actors and atmosphere, the White Knight, all work beautifully. Proof you can make something amazing with a ridiculously low budget.

  • They probably thought it would be easier to do the Wasp segment, as it only requires one additional actor/costume and doesn't take place in a town, etc.

    Regardless, I love this adaptation.

  • Haha, Greg Wise and Ian Holm! I love it. :-)

  • when i read lowbudget i thoought. alice and low budget that might be impossible but now i'm quite concerned that this is brilliant.

  • Is'nt the original Aspect ratio 4:3 of this tv production?? Here it looks like 16:9...

  • You know, I think the Knight had the right ideas on hair-loss and gate advancing. : /
