it's fake, brandon would not be 36 during the day and 10 at night and it would never get to 38 degrees in june in winnipeg and there would not be 15mm of rain with only a 40 percent chance of rain and the humidex would never be 44 in the evening.
it's a concept; an emulation (as the video states lol)
obviously its not real, the main idea thats being put across is the design, not the actual data.
As for the data you point out though, I've seen TWN 7-day trends say temps in the 40's forecast b4...waaay off of course lol. As for the POP vs amounts, TWN does do that, especially in days severe storms are a threat, and humidex values can be 44 n the evening and during heat waves have been known to linger around 40 or so in the overnight.
Hey umm, You did an awesome job making this, but I have one question. I know you can download the WeatherEye for the Mac and get all the icons, but can you get the precipitation icons with it too? Because I noticed you had the rain precipitation icon. Maybe you should make some kind of tutorial on how to make these in powerpoint because they are abolutely amazing! :D
thanks, I made a new one in the summer but just haven't gotten around to putting it up yet; been busy since then lol
As for the rain precip icon, basically what I did was open the rain shower .png image file that I did get from weather eye, and cropped out one rain drop and enlarged it a little. Simple as that :)
Perhaps I will make a tutorial, one of these days I may have to get around to that if I can ever find out how to make a tutorial on how to do this in PowerPoint 2007.
I created it in Microsoft Powerpoint, and used Camtasia Studio's Powerpoint Recorder to record it to a video file, which I then uploaded to youtube :)
If ya don't have the powerpoint recorder, any old screen recorder will do. Camtasia, for example, is a free one.
You can edit them in photoshop and use the magic eraser tool to get rid of the white (then save them as PNG Images)
or...
you can download the WeatherEye Widget for Macs off of TWN site (even if you don't have a mac), and in that folder that you extract, there's a folder of al the images with all the icons, with transparent backgrounds.
Thanks! I changed it because I honestly don't think a 14 day trend is necessary. At least here in Winnipeg, everyday the trend tends to change dramatically. It's of no use here most of the time.
cute song and nice animation.

Interesting. I wonder if it was used now. Perhaps there's a clip somewhere.

Cool! How did you get those icons too? I have them but they have a big white square around them

It's the same here. The 14-day is useless and wastes time that could be better spent on UV, Pollen, Normals, Tides, Almanac, Air Quality, etc.

Hey that was pretty cool! A regional is always a nice fit as oppose to a 14 day trend!
