So they and the league don't go bankrupt. The teams hiring out stadiums, like Real Salt Lake, don't make any money. Keeping the Salaries down, keeps the smaller teams afloat. Most sports leagues in the USA have a Salary cap. Bundesliga was studying wanted more info on the Salary cap, which they might introduce.
