I have to give it to her, this stuff is genius. She does not deviate from the Ovidian theme, and the lyrics are simply...baffling. I've never heard anything this jazzy/cool and at the same time deeply lyrical except maybe some old Miles/Shorter(which notably has no lyrics lol) As for ballininthepocket you are clearly from the east coast lol and I know what u mean sometimes chill stuff doesnt compare to hard bop, but this is gooooood and indeed...cooooool.

usually i don't care for this kind of singer, not when you have ella, simone, a lincoln, betty carter and the likes

but i must admit she's a breath of fresh air from that much overrated diane krall which sounds like "white bread and mayonnaise" lounge shit which it is (she's not from the pocono mts is she? most singers from that area is cursed w/ that style

patricia sounds real and hip,,,krall's voice sounds like she's schooled and her forced hipness (of which she has none) is nauseating
