That car is unusually fast for a BPU SR20. The AEM ecu is probably why... a T28 turbo shouldn't be enough for 112 mph trap speeds! That car must have been extremely well tuned.

All sr's weather they are redtop or blacktop if they are really stock come with 205 hp unless its the s15 sr with has around 250 hp so if the dude says it has more hp than 205 its not stock at all. he got a good motor that had some work done before he got it.

@bboydrive That is doable. I'm sure you upgraded some things around the engine and probably the cams but Option mag did a speccial on the SR turbines and the S13 t25 got 270whp. The S14 t28 @ 300 and the S15 t28 maxed out at about 350. I think I still have the issue in my stash somewhere. I love the GTiR t28. It takes a beating and although not ball bearing it's just as good as the 14's
@venom3114 There's a guy called TwoLiterTurbo running 11's with stock internals, his motor is built now but I'm pretty sure he ran 11's when it was stock.
It's possible, I had a S15 T28 in mine with a handful of bolt ons and tuned ecu on 1.5 bars; that was nearly keeping up with if not hanging with Cobras. I guestimated mine at high 280s or maybe 290s until I took off the turbo, my friend was running his built SR w/ 2871R on low boost and I was catching him on the top end...

@nerv1 Im guessing hes just pushing 15+ PSI on the T28 turbo and its not leaning out because of the 550cc injectors? I know stock SR20s on 15 PSI makes an easy 270 hp motor
a blower is supercharger not a turbocharger. and if this is the notch top, which it probably is since those are the only ones that came with a t28, it has vtc which gave it an extra 20 or 40hp (depending on which year it was) still on 7psi. and t28s are capable of going past 14psi, which is plenty to make well over 300hp.
thats great a 12.99 on a stock sr with a t28 (tiny turbo) these cars (s13/14) are very capable cars on the strip stock and you even play with it enough to make around 300whp and you WILL be running in the 12's

Sweet car bro, but i can't figure out whats going on with your launches. It almost looks like you're intentionally leaving late... If you had that launch down you would def shave a few 10ths off your time.
I was leaving late, it was just test an tune, not a competition. The clock doesn't start until you move and break the beams, so you could sit there for 10 seconds and still run the same time.
yea i understand that the clock doesn't start until you break the beams, however a good quick launch that maximizes boost and minimises wheel-spin will bring you up to speed much quicker (hence the term "launch"). I wasn't sugesting you're a bad driver, i was just pointing out that knowing how to launch your car will greatly improve your time. In my case I went from a 13.6 on my first run to a 13 flat within 3 passes by improving my launch (06 Evo MR). the vid i have up is my first ever pass.
Those 60' were as good as it was gonna get. I was on mid grade summer street tires, w/ an 18" wheel, and 35 series sidewall. Had I been on slicks I could have used the 2step, come out w/boost and maybe cut a 1.5 - 1.6 60" and probably touched high 11's. RWD/FWD is a little different off the line than AWD where traction is concerned.

@pallozo 350z is more of a update of the old 300zx era. Those 350z are nice, but they just have a truck engine still like the nissan frontier etc. lol. Old school cars for life regardless, look at how many cars have tried to be as great but aren't (rx7>rx8) even the older r34,33,32 have something over that new gtr35 even though the new one is crazy fast it just doesnt get the same feeling as ripping threw the gears on a real manual r34 etc.
12.9 on street tires is awesome. Alot of people on here dont know how fast that is. Compared to a stock 350 on street tires that will usually run high 14s. nice ride.

he said it was a s14 sr. redtop and blacktop are s13 sr's. the sr out of a s14 is called a notchtop, and has stock 220hp instead of 205hp in a s13 sr.
240's get just as good gas mileage, and as for the sr swap, it is the easiest swap ever. me and 1 friend completed the whole swap plus intercooler installation in 6 hours.
rusty....u r so full of shit. considering u have to cut every plug on the KA harness and wire them to the SR harness....that alone would take damn near that long to do. and u have to cut out the actual metal bumper to fit a front mount on the car. theres another 2 hours of labor, not to mention taking the old out and in with the new. do some research before u try to BS people. lol
He's emphasizing that the ENGINE itself is stock(internally), along with the turbo. Although he may have added bolt-ons and cranked the boost up a tad.
The Is One nasty S14 zenki...I gotta question how did u get the tq get higher then the hp ? I know Ka24det have a lot more tq then the sr20 but i like how u got it set up.
Nice work! To everyone saying things like not bad for a 240... are you serious... there's drastically faster 240's out there, this one is nice example but by no means the fastest. Also, do yourself a favor and get a cam BC or otherwise, cams bring these motors to life at 18 lbs my buddy put down 405rwhp with a JW cam and an otherwise mostly stock motor on a gt2871rs
Cmon man. You are not running stock psi. SR20 comes with 7 psi right? You are prolly running like 14 psi or something like that. I have a 1992 eagle talon tsi and couldnt keep up with one that was running at 15 psi and he does around 13.4s at the track

@pallozo 350z is more of a update of the old 300zx era. Those 350z are nice, but they just have a truck engine still like the nissan frontier etc. lol. Old school cars for life regardless, look at how many cars have tried to be as great but aren't (rx7>rx8) even the older r34,33,32 have something over that new gtr35 even though the new one is crazy fast it just doesnt get the same feeling as ripping threw the gears on a real manual r34 etc.

12.9 on street tires is awesome. Alot of people on here dont know how fast that is. Compared to a stock 350 on street tires that will usually run high 14s. nice ride.

gas mileage on a stock sr is about the same as the ka, but he has bigger injectors, which make gas mileage worse.

he said it was a s14 sr. redtop and blacktop are s13 sr's. the sr out of a s14 is called a notchtop, and has stock 220hp instead of 205hp in a s13 sr.

240's get just as good gas mileage, and as for the sr swap, it is the easiest swap ever. me and 1 friend completed the whole swap plus intercooler installation in 6 hours.

rusty....u r so full of shit. considering u have to cut every plug on the KA harness and wire them to the SR harness....that alone would take damn near that long to do. and u have to cut out the actual metal bumper to fit a front mount on the car. theres another 2 hours of labor, not to mention taking the old out and in with the new. do some research before u try to BS people. lol

Nice work! To everyone saying things like not bad for a 240... are you serious... there's drastically faster 240's out there, this one is nice example but by no means the fastest. Also, do yourself a favor and get a cam BC or otherwise, cams bring these motors to life at 18 lbs my buddy put down 405rwhp with a JW cam and an otherwise mostly stock motor on a gt2871rs

Cmon man. You are not running stock psi. SR20 comes with 7 psi right? You are prolly running like 14 psi or something like that. I have a 1992 eagle talon tsi and couldnt keep up with one that was running at 15 psi and he does around 13.4s at the track

Of course I'm not running stock psi. That would be kinda pointless with larger injectors and a standalone. I was running 21psi at the time.

well..if you didn't disable it..theres a system in all 240's that electronically limits the vehicles top speed to like 117mph
