Hi Steven,...I wanted to do something special with my 2004 Ford Explorer using a photo...Will it be possible if you can help me with that? I live in Brooklyn, if not, can you refer anyone to me?...Thanks, Kelvin
I think your work is absolutely amazing!! One problem I always have is with getting realistic coloring. I don't know how you do it but your works are more than lifelike.
Any tips on doing a live-fire background over a silver base, that will ultimately be topped by several coats of orange candy? My mind is toying with the thought of very diluted candy rootbeer for shadows, and perhaps red-gold mystic autumn in the flames themselves. This will be my most complicated attempt yet....
Im thinking of getting into airbrushing and im wondering if i got as good as you what are the benefits of doing what u do... Like how much is your income on art cause im very familier with the quote "starving artist"....
could you send a vid on any art work proceedure on skin would love it thanks susan also what is the formula for skin color ???????if you could share that i would love you....................................xoxox
@stevenunez - your artwork is amazing and i've been following you for a short while now. i was wondering, when you're painting bikes, whether it's plastic or metal, after the basecoat is down, do you put clear on it before you paint the graphics and after? or do you paint your graphics on the basecoat and then hit it with clear? if you can, please help this aspiring artist.. thanks in advance.
I just bought an airbrush yesterday. I've been an artist since I could hold a pencil. Now that I'm 17, I am starting to get serious about art. I haven't ever air brushed before, but it would be great to get some advice from you before I start. =)
nice! ima b getting into same thing im good art art and ive bin wanting 2 do this fora while so ima buy a airbrush set soon. i wana make it a career. does it pay good 2 do custom stuff like this?
Steve, Darren again from NC... I am just getting into portrait painting. I would like to know do you mix your own skin tones or does Alsa have a Flesh Tone kit? I've been experimenting with Yellows, red oxide, violet, white, and greens.... Also do you use a tinted candy for natural shadows or opaque mixtures like tan, beige or brown?
You are simply amazing with that airbrush.boss... Love your vids.
@stevenunez Hey i'm 14 and an artist and i plan on getting my first airbrush do you have any advice 4 me (types of airbrushes, paints, other variables)?
Increible, el mejor airbrush artist, every picture it looks to the max, I have 3 years airbrushing but Im not good as u. I would love to learn how you start a piece and finish it lookin chingon.
i really enjoy ur art works..they all beautifull..anyhow, i have a question to ask.. do u use guide lines as a reference before u paint or u just paint as u go along?
Amazing work Steve. You are using colour in a brilliant way. Your detailing is very tight. From every great airbrush artists I've seen, you are one of the best !
Steve I have not tried it- but i'd like to, I'll let ya know if I give one a run- I'll post a response.
I've been using a Precisionair Treo and it's pretty nice but I find the body a bit too thin and I find the cup tip distance a bit too long- I would have preferred a shorter finger-tip to airbrush tip distance- but otherwise a nice airbrush.
Ohh man- thanks guys-you're all too kind- many thanks for the kind words. I'll post up some new vids soon....been busy at work painting but I'll get them up soon- thanks again.
Man, your stuff is awesome. All I can do right now is airbrush tanks and planes and have been looking at airbrush coarse to help out, but nobody in my area of living does it.
Buen trabajo, que marca de pinturas usas ?????saludos desde Perú

Thanks guys. I use many different airbrushes but Iwata is my preferred brand and for extreme detail- I use Toricon/Holbein.
stevenunez 3 years ago
Hey Steve, is the Holbein Y-3 as good as the Iwata Hi-Line HP-CH?
paintedglyphs333 3 years ago
I don't recall the specifics of the Y-3, but the Y-2 and the Dash Y-2 are second to none for detail- Japanese airbrushes at their best!
Having said that- the Iwata's are simply excellent- you wont go wrong either way.
